Kumaraguru College of Technology accepts GATE scores for admission to M.Tech programme. However, it is not compulsory. Aspirants can also get admission through CEETA PG scores. Besides, candidates must also have passed BE/ BTech with at least 50% aggregate to get admission in the M.Tech programme.
Infrastructure/Facilities
- Library
The library is extensive owning 67598 titles and 107534 volumes and has a subscription to 186 print journals, 8829 online international journals and 59 magazines for scholarly communication. The central library also provides access to printing and e-resources. Open access system is being followed to access the books and journals.
- Cafeteria
There are three other smaller cafes and refreshment outlets inside the campus. The spacious, airy & trendy cafeteria offers ample scope for students to break free from their arduous schedules and enjoy appetizing food in an extremely casual yet pleasant ambiance.
- Hostel
The gents’ hostel comprises of four blocks with a capacity to accommodate 1335 students. The Ladies hostel has a capacity to accommodate 987 students. All men and women residents of the hostel are provided rooms on a triple sharing basis. All common areas like dining, washrooms, lobby, terrace, etc. are provided separately for men and women’s hostels.

- Shuttle Service
The College has a fleet of buses, vans and cars to transport students and staff from different places in and around Coimbatore to college and back. These buses operate along different routes starting from different locations approximately between 6.30 and 6.45 a.m. At present 8 buses and 6 mini busses are used.
