The college is good, but it could be better with government funds.
Placements: I am pursuing a B.Sc. in Botany Honours at M.P.C. Autonomous College.
It is a government autonomous college. So, the placement opportunities are very limited. Mostly, placement takes place in the self-financed course. Here, our teachers make us ready for government entrance.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is good. We have a separate department for separate honours. We also have a gym in our department, we get free Wi-Fi, toilet facilities, smart class, and a laboratory. As we are from the botany department, we also get a garden with various plants.
Faculty: Teachers of our college are highly qualified and well-trained. They have qualified Odisha education services exam. Teachers teach in a very simple manner to make the concept clear. Teachers are friendly, and they make us ready for other government exams by providing important questions and notes.
Other: As a Biology student, I have an interest in the Biological Science honours. As the technology is evolving, we are going more towards the plant life to maintain the ecosystem, so I am very interested in botany subject and where we study plant life.

Satisfied with college, with good teachers and good infrastructure.
Placements: Placement is not so good in our honours, as it is an undergraduate course, and there are no such good companies to hire students for this degree. Most of the students prefer higher studies like PG and B.Ed. Some also go or prepare for the government entrance.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, we have a whole department for botany honours in our college, where we have a smart board in our classes, a bathroom, an Aquaguards, and an open area with plants. We also have a very big laboratory with all the necessary equipment, and we have Wi-Fi facilities. As I am not a hosteller, I am unaware of hostel facilities. Good college, with lots of facilities, we also have indoor games, a multinational Gym, a garden, a canteen, and other important facilities.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified and had cleared exams like OES from OPSC. They are helpful to us and also supportive. They are of different age groups, which helps the students to interact with different teachers in different styles. They also taught us how to prepare for the entrance.

Overall, the college is good for students as teachers are very good.
Placements: Botany department is one of the best departments in MPC to get a job as there are many career opportunities after botany. Many jobs such as botanist are available after graduation. Other students are also preparing for the civil services exam. As for the percentage of students and average package it's well above other degree colleges.
Infrastructure: The amenities of hostel and infrastructure of the hostel are both good not the best but it is above average. Electricity is present almost all the time. There is no problem regarding water. Food is also of good quality at a reasonable price.
Faculty: Botany department is one of the best departments of the MPC college. Faculty members of the department are very well-educated and have knowledge about the curriculum. As for the curriculum of the college it has accepted the NEP 2020 from 2025 onwards and it is very much relevant for today's teaching standards. The difficulty level of the semester exam is average and most of the students usually pass the semester exam.
Other: I chose this course because I have already heard many things about botany department and how good the faculty members are. Things can be improved such as the college is almost 80 years old that's why it is in much need of renovation and advanced equipment. Smart classrooms are present but only a single, need more of those and installation of AC is much needed.

It is the best college and facilities. I am absolutely satisfied with faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: Unfortunately, there is no placement system in our department. But a few departments offer placement opportunities through various companies. The package varies from very low to average. Each year, some national companies may visit the college for campus recruitment.
Infrastructure: Our college offers state-of-the-art infrastructure that supports both academic and practical work. Our course is one of the best in our college. The hostel infrastructure is designed to provide a safe and comfortable stay for students. Separate hostels for both boys and girls are available, with 24/7 security.
Faculty: Our course is supported by highly qualified and experienced faculty members. They are delivering quality education. Most professors hold a Ph.D. or postgraduate degree. The curriculum is well-structured and designed in line with the latest trends. The examination pattern follows a semester system with both internal exams.
Other: I chose this because it is one of the best courses. It has better practical instruments, various scholarships, and extracurricular activities.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: About 25 to 30% of students got placed in various government and private sectors. Packaging depends upon the experience, but it varies from 2 Lacs to 8 Lacs per annum. About 50% of students got internships in various government institutions.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are very well designed, free Wi-Fi is available for students, and labs have various practical instruments. Classrooms are student-friendly with a variety of books in the library from various authors. Hostels are good for students, and food quality is also above average to good, with the best study environment.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified. Some of them have a Ph.D., and some are assistant professors and highly knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant, as it prepares students for various government and private industries. The difficulty of the semester exams varies from easy to moderate. The pass percentage is about 70%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in various plants and the natural world, and how plants are essential for our daily life. The best thing about our course is the supportive staff and various practical opportunities and field visits. An updated curriculum and some extra research opportunities should improve our course. An annual function, various sports activities every 4 months, and various scholarships are available for merit students.
