Management of college should be developed by proper management.

Placements: There are total 48 seats available for an academic year out of which 40-45 students take admission each year. Unfortunately, there are no placement facilities available in our college. Students can apply for an internship program in state universities as well as IITs during their final year.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi system is available in our department. Smart classroom as well as developed laboratory system are available. Hostel is provided to merit students, and hostel fee is upto Rs 12,000 each year. Hostel food is simple, healthy, and hygienic. Hostel rooms are good.

Faculty: In our department, faculty members are highly educated and from top universities. Teachers are good, friendly, and help us with our academics. Exams are held every 6 months. A mid-term exam held over the duration of 6 months. Results are declared after 45 days of examination. Pass percentage is not satisfactory i.e., 60-70% in each year.

This college is good for middle-class students.

Placements: Students of this college do not get any placements. They are preparing for B.Ed and other graduate-level examinations. Students of this college do not get any internships. If you want a job, then you have to go for higher studies. You can become a teacher and professor in the future.

Infrastructure: Classrooms of our college are fully Wi-Fi connected with free of cost. Labs are well-maintained, and all instruments in our department are well-maintained. In our college, a common library is there. You can find any kind of book there. I stayed in mess so I do not know about the hostel.

Faculty: Faculty members of our department are well-knowledgeable and very friendly. This course is industry-relevant. You can become a teacher and professor in the future if you have gained your knowledge very well. Semester exams are little bit difficult. If you study well, you can easily pass.

Other: This course is good if you want to become a geologist in the future.

This college is best for middle-class students.

Placements: Myself Jitendra Kumar Behera. I have enrolled in a B.Sc. in geology in 2024. Basically, in the +3 degree courses, you do not get any placements. You have to do higher studies and become eligible for graduation-level competitive exams like SSC, banking, and civil services

Infrastructure: Our department's classroom is well maintained. Laboratory equipment is also well maintained in our classroom, and there is a digital board as well. Students can access free high-speed Wi-Fi. Students can borrow any type of book from the library free of cost.

Faculty: Teachers of our department are highly knowledgeable and friendly. They can solve any type of doubt regarding the subject. The course curriculum only gives subject knowledge. The course gives you knowledge about that particular field. Semester exams are a little bit difficult. Most of the students pass.

Other: I want to gain knowledge about geology, so I enrolled in this course. Yes, the course could be better in terms of practical knowledge. Yearly events happen in our college. Yes, the eligible students get the state scholarship.

We need some best instruments for the respective lab.

Placements: About 80 to 90% of students were placed in my course. The salary offered is Rs. 30,000 to 1,20,000. Companies such as Reliance Industries, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, and Cairn Energy India participated in the placement process. 30 to 40% of students got internships in the oil and natural gas sector. We can visit fields to date rocks and identify their ages, among other activities.

Infrastructure: High-speed Wi-Fi is available in our college. Sufficient instruments are there for every subject which enhances the knowledge of students. Big classroom with AC inside it, sufficient benches are there. Different author's books are in the library with enough space.

Faculty: The teaching quality is generally good. The instructors have backgrounds from IIT Kharagpur and IIT Bombay, and the other teachers hold PhDs and possess strong knowledge. This contributes to making students industry-ready. The semester exams are not very difficult, especially for students who come prepared.

Other: I don't have any interest in this course. I came into this with my teacher's suggestion and after reading it I feel good and I love it. This course provides knowledge about the earth, different countries, and different oceans. They provide diagrammatic teaching.

The college provides a good infrastructure.

Placements: In our college, the Geology department is the best, but unfortunately, no placements are provided by the college after B.Sc., as there are no placements. The package is not offered. Many students qualify for IIT JAM entrance and get admitted to the top IITs such as Bombay, Kharagpur, Dhanbad, etc.

Infrastructure: Our course provides a good infrastructure with smart classrooms, digital projects, and the best practical instruments. Hostels are normal and suitable for staying. Sports and games facilities are provided.

Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and friendly. Their teaching method is the best. They explain in a very easy manner. Exams are on time, and the level of exams is moderate. The pass percentage is not so good. But many students of our department qualify for national level entrance exams. Department of Geology is one of the best departments in MPC autonomous college.
