The reality of MS bidve engineering college.

Placements: The percentage of placement of students is very low in our college, and the average package is around 2.5 to 3 LPA. Branded companies are not coming; only local companies are coming for placement, and the placements are very low for the core branches and very worth the scenario of placement.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average, the college building area and class room are very crowded. The college provides Wi-Fi with no routers, and the hostel is poor. As for the college mess, it is good and the library is average but not very good. Medical facilities are not provided, the college canteen is average, and sports and games are very few.

Faculty: Our seniors teach us, and their focus is only on the syllabus. Teaching quality is average, and knowledge is good but not applicable. The course curriculum is not relevant to the industry, and the syllabus for NIT was revised 15 years ago. Semester exams are average, and the 60-mark paper is passing.

Other: I chose this college because it is near my home, and my course is civil engineering, which is good for government and private jobs.

2015 student placement situation was tough, but more companies join college placements in future.

Placements: The placement opportunities for the Civil branch are not as favorable compared to the CSE and IT branches. The CS and IT branches have a placement rate of 60 to 70 percent. TCS company had visited the college several years ago, but no companies related to Civil have visited, resulting in only a 10 percent placement rate for Civil and Mechanical branches. However, there is a possibility for the college to improve the placement prospects for the Civil and Mechanical fields in the future.

Infrastructure: The hotel boasts a spacious and immaculate environment, with the added convenience of Wi-Fi access in the hostel. The college offers a vast library for students, although medical facilities are unfortunately not provided. However, the college actively organizes various games and events, and also provides sports-related materials. On the downside, the quality of food in the mess leaves much to be desired.

Faculty: Teachers possess extensive qualifications and years of teaching experience. They provide assistance to every student and possess profound knowledge in their respective fields. Semester exams are conducted with utmost rigor, as external squads closely monitor the process. The practical sessions, lasting for approximately 3 to 4 hours, equip students with practical skills required in the industry.

Other: Civil engineering offers a tremendous opportunity in the future as a significant number of students tend to opt for CS and IT related branches. However, the scope for civil and mechanical fields is also promising. By enhancing this branch, I aim to acquire both technical and practical knowledge. Additionally, the college organizes various events and celebrates festivals to create a vibrant atmosphere.

The college has very good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The average salary package offered is 2 LPA. TCS and some other companies are hiring students from here. Almost 30 to 40% of the students got an internship, and the remaining are studying for higher education. There is an educational tour from college for more field experience.

Infrastructure: All facilities are available here like Wi-Fi, CCTV, computer labs, drawing halls and main and sub-libraries. In the hostel, food is good, and other facilities are provided and maintained. In the surrounding of the college campus, there is a facility of breakfast, canteen, etc. Small shops are also available here for the daily needs of students. The environment is good in all aspects.

Faculty: Especially civil engineering faculty members are seniors, knowledgeable and have more than 22 years of teaching experience. All doubts are solved by faculty members. Faculty members are taking good class tests which help for the increment of knowledge of students. Overall, we had the best days of our college. Our batch has got the best faculty members.

The faculty & infrastructure are plus points, but the college lacks in providing good placements.

Placements: The placement statistics of the college is very poor. In core branches like Civil, Mechanical and electrical placements are less than 5%. Your need to prepare for competitive exams in order to get a descent job. The chances of getting placed from this campus are very low.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quiet good. The campus is 21 acres in area. The classes are spacious enough. There are both girls and boys hostel available in the campus at an affordable cost, but the practical labs are not up to the mark the equipments and machines are too old and do not work properly.

Faculty: The only good thing about this college is a dedicated and experienced teaching staff. Teachers make sure that the syllabus is completed within time and every point is understood by the students. The course curriculum of SRTMUN was a bit outdated but the BATU syllabus is up to the mark according to me.
