The college where we can learn life with experienced staff and technology.
Placements: Placements were really not that good for my senior's batch and also for my batch. Only 10%of the students were placed.
The highest package offered was 5 lakh and the lowest package was around 3 lakh.
Almost all the companies that visited were BPOs, and so most of the students haven't sat for placement procedures.
The roles offered by the companies were of customer care etc.
Infrastructure: There is no WiFi facility within the campus which is a very negative point, considering a professional college.
The classrooms are average.
The library within the campus is good and has a good collection of books.
The quality of labs is excellent with the largest lathe workshop in Coimbatore.
The quality of food provided by the canteen is not that good.
Faculty: The faculty members present are highly experienced.
The will be using both virtual and normal methods of teaching.
The student-faculty ratio is about 2 for 60.
Industry visits organized by the college are very less.
The curriculum used by the college is 2008 Anna university regulation which has almost become obsolete with the advancement in technology.

Other: It is an average college. In terms of placement it is not up to the mark but if you want to enjoy your 4 years than it’s a good option. Faculty is not adequate but is good enough. Location wise it’s also good as the surrounding is very fresh and enjoyable. As it is a govt. college so you can also find a competitive atmosphere to build yourself but you have to do it on your own.

Other: It’s a good college from faculty point of view but if I come to the Placement and services its worst. You should choose this college for faculty members not for Placement because you never going to placed and if by chance you get placed it would be for you harder to survive in that kind of company.

Review of Maharaja Engineering College.
Placements: Placements are not enough here for computer science, information technology and mechatronics. Students are well trained for placements here. From our batch, a minimum of 100 students got placed out of 720 students. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month, and the highest salary offered is Rs. 24,000 per month. Machining, quality and production companies visited here for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good here. A lot of trees surround the college and hostel. Employees are working to maintain plants. During our tenure, there was no Wi-Fi here, but maybe our college is now connected with Wi-Fi. There are iron benches with an in-built iron desk. Medical facilities are not available, but sports and games are well. A university tournament is organised for cricket and hockey. There are good lab facilities, but there are old machines. The library is available with an internet facility.
Faculty: It is a four years course. All faculty members here are ME completed and more experienced. They have good knowledge, helpful in sharing knowledge and are well qualified. Daily tests and exclusive internal tests are conducted, which gives more knowledge about subjects.
