B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence &Machine Learning) - Batch of 2027

Great campus and good future.
Placements: I am pursuing B.E. In CSE (AI & ML), batch 2023-2027, at Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysore. Around 75%-85% of students from our course got placed. The highest package offered is 15 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is around 5 LPA-6 LPA. Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, and Cognizant. Approximately 60%-70% of students secured internships in companies like Bosch, IBM, and TCS iON. The top roles offered are software developer, ML engineer, data analyst, and full stack developer.
Infrastructure: Our department has well-equipped labs for AI, ML, and programming, along with high-speed Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and access to digital resources in the library. The campus is Wi-Fi-enabled and supports hands-on learning. Hostels are clean and have 24/7 security, Wi-Fi, and basic amenities. The mess provides decent, hygienic food with both North and South Indian options. The canteen offers a good variety of snacks and meals. Medical facilities include an on-campus health center and emergency care. Sports infrastructure includes courts for basketball, volleyball, cricket, and indoor games, promoting a balanced student lifestyle.
Faculty: The faculty in the CSE (AI & ML) department are qualified, approachable, and knowledgeable in both theoretical and practical aspects. Many have industry or research experience, which adds value to classroom learning. The curriculum is regularly updated and includes core CS subjects, AI/ML, and hands-on projects, making it relevant and industry-oriented. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, focusing on understanding and application. With regular internal assessment, students stay engaged. The overall pass percentage is around 85%-90%, with support available through remedial classes and mentorship. The course prepares students well for placements, internships, and higher studies.
Other: I'm from the 2023-2027 batch of B.E. CSE (AI & ML) at Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysore. I chose this course due to the growing demand for AI/ML professionals. The best part is the focus on future technologies, practical labs, and project-based learning. Improvements can be made in offering more industry collaborations and electives. The campus is green, peaceful, and well-connected. We have active student clubs, tech, and cultural fests like Sankalp, and good extracurricular support. Scholarships are available for meritorious and economically weaker students, creating an inclusive learning environment with a vibrant and friendly campus crowd.

Honest review about our college.
Placements: The percent of students present in our college depending on the mechanical course is nearly 25% to 30%. The lowest package of overcoat is 1 LPA and the highest package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for mechanical courses are Tata, Infosys, and HTML.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure and good libraries for students. Library is helpful. Good sports encouragement.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experienced with a minimum of 10 years of experience and very friendly teachers. We are lucky to have teachers with a great qualification and experience which helps students with exams in a friendly manner. The quality of teaching is very good and high-quality teachers.
Other: Mechanical is my dream that's why I chose mechanical. Mechanical is improving day by day in all aspects. Events and fests are very good including Mahadasra and many other events are held in our college which is very good.

B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2025
2.6
2Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
This college has the worst campus placement.
Placements: Only 25% of students got placed, with the average package of about 3.2 LPA. No top recruiting companies are coming to our college. Some recruiting companies like IBM, Tech Mahindra, etc., visit or college. Only 25% of students got internships. Electronics engineering and VLSI engineering, course helps to learn both hardware and software.
Infrastructure: They provide bus facilities for long range, infrastructure is good. College has a separate building for 1st year and department. There is no Wi-Fi facility, classrooms are good, and library is nice. Hostel management is not good in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in solving problems, and teaching quality is not good. They give too much of assignments, they aren't ready for industrial skills. This college doesn't provide industrial visits. Exams are a little difficult and the pass percentage is 45%.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a VLSI engineer. The best thing about the course is it is a full interesting and innovative course. No events and fests are conducted. There is good connectivity. Campus surroundings are good. Scholarships are not provided. Extracurricular activities are not conducted.

College is not good and I don't recommend you people to join this.
Placements: Placements are not at all good. It is way more complicated and does not help students to get placed. The highest package ranges from 7 LPA - 8 LPA. The lowest salary is 2 LPA. It is not good for students. It is way more complicated and not useful for all the students and not very helpful.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good and they are strict in their own way. They make more money from it and library is a good thing to happen in our college. It's good to be part of the library and is useful to us. It is way more bigger and has almost all kinds of books.
Faculty: Exams are good. Teachers are knowledgeable and have greater experience. They have great PhDs done in their own branch. They are strict sometimes and have great thoughts. Sometimes they are not helpful to us and have some target towards students.
Other: I chose this branch as my friends told me to. Crowd is too huge to handle and it's huge. We can't even stand in that crowd. Campus surroundings are good.

B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) - Batch of 2028
3.2

Placements are less, but really good infrastructure.
Placements: Currently, placements in our college are average. Our college has recently become autonomous, so we can expect good placements. I am passing out in the year 2028. Currently, only 20% of students get placed in our college, but expected to improve in 2028.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good. Labs are large but only limited systems for students to use. It has an old version. Hostels are average. Our college has a canteen with good food and accessories available with hygiene.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good with friendly and highly qualified teachers. They help students enhance their education studies. Semester exams are difficult with strict corrections. The pass percentage is about 35% for every batch of students.
Other: I chose computer science and artificial engineering because it is trending now. I think it would have been improved in upcoming years. Events are rare.

An review about MIT Mysore.
Placements: The college placements are not good. They say we have good placements in our college. But the placements are less. About 60-70% of students will be placed every year says the students of the college. The average package ranges from 4 LPA - 5 LPA. Till now, the highest package is 18 LPA. Overall, placements are not good.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average but they will provide good air-ventilated rooms with the best light quality and a good water supply. The hostel is good and Wi-Fi does not work properly. But the food is okay. Non-veg is not available in the hostel and also not allowed in the college canteen.
Faculty: Some teaching faculty members are good but some are bad. Teachers are not too friendly to the students. They will be annoyed with the same things but they have qualified faculty members from M.Tech to PhD. Curriculum is good but it should improve. Somehow, it is relevant to the course we are studying. Semester exams are difficult and an average above 90% will pass.
Other: The college is located outside the city where transportation of public is less but the environment is good. They will provide transportation from 3 districts for less price and it is good. Library facilities are better.
