My college has a beautiful location.

Placements: Students who scored above 65% got placed in our college. The salary package offered is 3 LPA to 5 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Wipro. 20% of B.Com Hons students got internships from big companies through our college placement. Scoring 65% in H.S. is required for admission to our college to get the best faculty and teachers, and the college location is excellent.

Infrastructure: Facilities are excellent. My college has a library. There is no hostel or accommodation for staying in our college, but the location is full of hostels and accommodations nearby, about a 5-minute walking distance. The college canteen is awesome. The food is very tasty and cheap for students.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are very friendly. I’m very happy to have the chance to study in my college, and the teachers, especially our HOD, have a very friendly demeanor. The entire staff and teachers are very innovative and skillful. They are trying their best during our studies.

Other: The best thing about my course is the accounting knowledge.

I am mostly satisfied with all things.

Placements: 23% of students get placed in my course. The lowest salary is Rs. 20,000 per month, and I do not have much idea about the highest salary. The big 5 companies visit the college for placements. Around 30-33% of students got internships in many local firms and private accounting sectors with great success.

Infrastructure: It has Wi-Fi, AC, projectors, and a vast library section with a huge number of books on conceptual subjects. The canteen is great and clean. Toilets are clean. Walls and interiors are good. All things are good.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are truly great teachers with communication skills and a huge amount of knowledge. The course curriculum is relevant, and it prepares students to be ready for corporate life. Semester exams are difficult. The pass rate is 38-40%.

Other: I chose this course because I love commerce and I love the process of business, accounts, policy, and rules. Commerce is best. The thing indeed needed to improve is the other subjects, which are attached to it.

Placements: I am currently pursuing a bachelor of commerce (honours) under Calcutta University. Speaking about the placement scenario of my course, the results vary each year depending on the performance of the batch and the market situation. On an average, around 60-65% of students from our course get placed through the campus recruitment process, while some students prefer to go for higher studies such as MBA, CA, or professional finance certification. In terms of placement packages, the range differs widely. The highest package offered in recent years has been around 8 LPA to 10 LPA, while the lowest package starts at 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our college provides a decent range of facilities and infrastructure for the B.Com honours course. Classrooms are spacious, equipped with whiteboards and projectors in some cases, and have proper seating arrangements. College campus is Wi-Fi enabled, which allows students to access study materials and online resources. Library is one of the most useful facilities, as it contains a wide collection of books, journals, and reference materials related to commerce, management, and finance.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are generally very helpful, approachable, and supportive towards students. Most of them are well-qualified, holding postgraduate degrees and professional qualifications like M.Com, MBA, CA, or UGC NET. They are also knowledgeable in their respective subjects, and many of them use practical examples from the corporate and financial world while teaching. This makes the classroom sessions more engaging and easy to understand.

Other: I am pursuing B.Com honours under Calcutta University at Maharaja Manindra Chandra College. Speaking about my batch, the course attracts students who are serious about building a career in commerce, finance, management, and related professional fields. I chose this course because I have always been interested in accountancy, finance, and business studies.

A decent choice for students.

Placements: Almost 80% of students opt for this course. After completing the course, students can be offered a 2 LPA to 6 LPA salary. ABC Consultant and Infosys are examples of recruiting companies. Students can be an accountant or a person who can handle the accounts of any company after doing this course.

Infrastructure: Facilities like classrooms & libraries are available in this course, but labs are not that developed. Labs can be better, and infrastructure should be progress. Sports and games are the plus points. Food is average and decent. Medical facilities are available.

Faculty: Professors are very friendly, polite, and nice towards students and have really good teaching skills. This course is relevant for students, and industry needs it. It is so useful. Semesters are easy sometimes, and sometimes it can be very tough. The pass percentage is more than 50%.

Other: I have love for the subjects—accounts, mathematics, economics, etc. And this course will help me to get a job and build my career. I got scholarship as well. We celebrates festivals like Holi and Saraswathi puja in our college. Seniors are very helpful.

I like the facilities in our college, but its infrastructure could be improved.

Placements: The highest package in my course is 20,000, with the lowest around 12,000 and the average package at approximately 15,000. Over three years, about 80% of students secured internships at various small companies. The top roles offered include accountant and cost officer.

Infrastructure: In our college, we have Wi-Fi available in many areas, including the library, classrooms, teacher’s room, and hall. The computer lab in our commerce department is well-equipped, and our library is impressive, with a wide variety of books. However, the college does not have its own hostel. They often arrange sports programs, and we have large medical facilities available on campus.

Faculty: Our college teachers are always very helpful and highly qualified. They explain concepts clearly and listen to our problems, resolving them promptly. The course curriculum is relevant, preparing students for industry demands. However, the semester exams can be quite tough; if one doesn't study adequately, they may fail. The pass percentage in our college is above 90%.

Other: I have always liked commerce topics, which is why I chose this course. The best thing about my course is its relevance to real-world situations. I believe it would be beneficial to increase class time and expand the variety of canteen food. Our college frequently organizes seminars, and we also have a freshers' event. I have received the Swami Vivekananda scholarship twice, amounting to 12,000 per year.
