Maharaja's college Ernakulam: does not live up to the hype but is a good experience .
Placements: Low opportunities for internship and poor placement ranking. But the educators constantly provide opportunities to workshops and potential internships and research works. A very limited number of students have directly gotten placements from the college. But alot of them have ended up as educators in their respective courses in the same college .
Infrastructure: Average quality infrastructure with ablot of repair and maintenance required. Highly equipped and accessible library with wide range of collection. Classrooms are not constantly maintained and cleaned with requirements for electrical work. Huge labs with large capacity and facilities. Wi-Fi is not provided .
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Reached in both English and malayalam. Course curriculum is relevant and provides strong foundation for the industry. Semester exams are relatively easy with direct questions all asked from syllabus that is taught. Requires 75% attendance to be eligible for the exam.
Other: I chose this course because I want to successfully attempted the civil services examination. A lot of students lookinh into teaching as a professions are also actively taking this course. The best thing is that the syllabus is staic and stays relevant so there is no need to constantly upgrade. Campus life is average but constant fests and events make up for it.
