National Exit Test (NExT) is a combined single-window exam for MBBS students to qualify for admission into postgraduate courses as well as to obtain the license to practice medicine in India. Its infrastructure and faculty members are good.

Placements: A total of 150 students get admission to this course. After clearing the NEXT exam, we get a desired subject for post-graduation or can be part of a government hospital as medical officers. We get a paycheck for the internship, and I guess that’s enough.

Infrastructure: The college consists of each department with complete staff and resources. The hostel infrastructure is good way better than most college hostels. The college has its own canteen and cafe, and the food tastes really good. The hostel food is like others, but you get tasty food in between.

Faculty: Our college is famous for its study curriculum. Teachers are very helpful, and exams are a bit critical, but we always do fine. Our college produces toppers in the Madhya Pradesh university exam. To prepare us well for the exam, internals are a bit tough.

Other: It is more affordable as compared to other colleges. I like the study environment the most. There are events you like to participate in, but since the college is in its initial stage, it will have more crowd and more events to enjoy after 1–2 years.

Review of Mahaveer Institute of Medical Sciences and Research.

Placements: I am in 2nd year. There are only 4 batches that have been admitted to the college. The first batch of 2020 is going to do internships this year and in a month they will start the internship.

Infrastructure: Hostels are good and maintained. It has 2 seater rooms with attached bathrooms. The college is still under construction, and the whole thing is not built yet. The hostel is also under construction. The campus does not have an auditorium or gym. For sports, there is no ground.

Faculty: The college is academic-oriented only. They are strict with their studies and want the focus to remain on academics only. Teachers pay attention to performance in college exams and tests. They are very strict with attendance and 75% is a must to appear in final exams. The NMC-guided course curriculum is followed in the college and they teach accordingly.

Other: Campus life is not so vibrant if the focus is on studies. There are no fests. The college does not organise extracurricular activities. If we want to celebrate something, then it is organised by students only.

Overall good college where you come just for studies.

Placements: It's a new college and the first internship started this year and going well. The stipend is Rs. 13,900 only as such no placements are offered at this moment. College started its first batch in 2020, so there is a first batch doing internships here. Management is better not best.

Infrastructure: College building is under construction. Hostels are good better than some of the government colleges. Hospital patient loads are average. Library for self-study which is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Wi-Fi facility is available. The quality of food is not good in the hostel but the rooms are better and well-maintained. Labs have the proper equipment. There is a cafe and a canteen in the college.

Faculty: Faculty is qualified and experienced and they teach very well. The curriculum for becoming a doctor is relevant and also the books are provided by the library itself you don't have to buy them from anywhere. Semester exams are not very difficult but it is university level examinations.

Other: I chose this course because of the job security as a doctor is a very good profession. Things could be stress management and early exam preparation. There are no extracurricular activities here. No fests are conducted. There is a government scholarship program you can google it such as Post Matric, Medhavi, and Jan Kalyan.

Candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained mentioned percentage taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. In respect of PwBD candidates as per NMC and DCI Regulations, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 40% instead of 50%. Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for the ‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test’. However, this has been a subject matter of challenge before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, and Hon’ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur.
