Who Are Eligible to Participate in the NEET Mop-up Round Counselling?
Before planning to register for the NEET UG counselling mop-up round, candidates must have fulfilled the following criteria:

Candidates who had registered in Round 2 and exited with forfeiture of fees.

Candidates who were not allotted a seat in Round 2.
-
Candidates who secured a seat under the reserved quota and whose second round of allotted seats got cancelled during the document verification on reporting for admission.

Candidates who had reported at the allotted institute during the second round of allotment and submitted their willingness for the mop-up round up-gradation as Yes.
NEET 2025 Counselling Mop-up Round Registration Process
The NEET 2025 Mop-up round counselling registration process will have to be done online by visiting the official website of MCC. Prior to the choice filling process, MCC will release the programme-wise seat vacancy list based on the net vacant seats due to non-joining and non-reporting of Round 2. Eligible candidates have to submit fresh choices and the result will be processed as per Choice & Merit. The step-by-step procedure to register for this round is given below:

Enter details such as name, registration number, personal details, academic details and the details mentioned on their NEET result.

What After NEET 2025 Mop-Up Round Seat Allotment Result?
Once the seat allotment result of the NEET 2025 mop-up round is declared, candidates will need to fulfil the following steps:

Download the seat allotment order.

Report to the allotted institute and complete the admission process.

In case candidates are not satisfied with the allotted seat, they can opt for ‘Upgrade’ and then participate in the Stray Vacancy counselling process of NEET 2025.
Till 2022, the NEET counselling mop-up round was the last round till which candidates could register. However, 2023 onwards, candidates are given the opportunity to register and fill in choices in the fourth and last round, or the Stray Vacancy round as well.
In case of vacant seats, MCC will conduct further rounds of counselling either for all three courses or a single course, depending on the seat vacancy status. MCC is led by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). MCC will conduct NEET counselling for 1,18,190 MBBS and 27,868 BDS seats in India. The total number of BSc Nursing seats allotted through MCC NEET counselling is around 500.

Yes, it is mandatory to appear for the ToGIGE even if the candidates have appeared for the NEET exam. The ToGIGE is a part of the selection process post the NEET exam. Those aspirants who clear the NEET cutoff are only eligible to appear for this test.

Yes, qualifying the NEET entrance exam is mandatory for MBBS admission in Kerala colleges, including for both government and private quota seats, as per NMC regulations. Candidates just have to clear an entrance exam and participate in counselling process for admission.
