Why you should choose Malda College for B.Com studies.
Placements: Approximately 90 to 120 students were placed in my course, the B.Com package of three years plus examination fees is approximately 15,000/-. Currently, TATA and other banking companies are recruiting. I have no idea about internships. Accountant, junior associate, GST, etc., are offered.
Infrastructure: Yes, there are smart classes as well as a library and friendly teaching staff. The quality of the hostel is moderate. I would say the food and canteen are average. But overall, the hostel is good. Mostly Bengali food is available. Malda College is just 10 minutes away from Malda Sadar Hospital, but the college medical facilities available are average. Two sports grounds are there alongside the campus.
Faculty: The teaching staff is very friendly and approachable. Most of the teachers are from Kolkata University and are also understanding Hindi as well as Bengali. It depends on how you take the course. If you take it seriously, I think you are industry-ready and prepared to work. The semester examinations are not easy.
Other: I am a commerce student in school, so I chose it. It helps me to understand our business and open lots of job-related opportunities. The course also improves practical skills. Saraswati Puja, New Year, Freshers, the annual function, and sports are great. Lots of extracurricular activities are available for students, and NCC and NSS are also available.
