Dr. Ramdas Pai Merit Scholarships are offered by Manipal Centre of Humanities. Students who fall under the top 10% (CGPA) are eligible for a 30% tuition fee waiver for the second and third years respectively.

MCH Manipal offers two UG and PG and a doctoral course in the stream of Humanities. These are BA, MA and PhD. The duration of UG and Doctoral courses is two-years, while the duration of PG courses is two-years. These courses are further divided into various other specialisations.

Humanities as a stream provides a wide range of courses that can be studied after completing their 12th grade. Pursuing any of these degrees prepares you to understand the various levels of humanities and, as a result, carve out an appropriate job path. Candidates in the humanities can apply for positions in the government sector, such as banking firms, government ministries, legal firms, and political analysts.

Content Writer, Civil Services, Human Resource Manager, Defense Services, Lawyer, Journalist, Counsellor, and Therapist positions are available. As freshers, humanities graduates can expect to earn between INR 2-6 LPA.

Students can apply for jobs, however, it is advisable to continue with your further studies as History is mostly based on theoretical aspect. Through higher studies, one can narrow down on what course they would like to specialise in and then make a career in. In Humanities and Social Science subjects,  there are more theoretical aspects that need to be learned and analysed. Simply the reason why there are higher studies and students can do research work through programmes such as -

Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

The core subjects are usually the same. Though the electives differ. Bachelor of Arts is a 3 year program. It can be pursued full-time, part-time, or through distance learning.
