Review of Manipal College of Health Professions, Manipal, Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

Placements: We have compulsory internships of one year provided by the college. All students who pass all the subjects until their third year will get a chance to do an internship. The average package offered in this course is 25,000-30,000 in India, and it is 1-1.5 Lacs in foreign. We get jobs in hospitals like KMC, AJ hospital etc. The top role offered in a hospital scenario is clinical supervisor.

Infrastructure: Manipal campus is very good with many facilities. We have a library with Wi-Fi and AC facilities. Our classrooms have individual chairs and AC facilities. The faculty projectors to teach via PPT presentations. The hostel food is average. Medical facilities are the best. In sports, we have Mareena indoor stadium with a gym and also an outdoor ground for outdoor sports.

Faculty: The faculty are experienced and highly knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. We work in hospital premises. Exams are conducted via digital E-Pad. Exams are moderate, not too difficult. The pass percentage is 50%, including IA marks.

Other: I chose this course with my own interest. Our course is about healthcare in hospital. We get to treat critical patients with respiratory distress.

It is one of the best colleges in India.

Placements: The whole passed-out batch gets placements across the country. The average salary offered is around Rs. 20,000 per month. Around 7-8 students from the previous batch got placed in our own college with a salary of Rs. 30,000 per month. Internships are mandatory to do in our own college, i.e., KMC Manipal. Students can opt for externship after 6 months of internships in Manipal, and externship is only allowed if students scored above 70%.

Infrastructure: Facilities are world-class, and everything is available. Classrooms have air-conditioners, a projector and comfortable seating capacity, and there are also arrangements for dedicated department rooms. There is a 6-floor library where you can get every study material you require, and an internet facility is also available in the library. ION Wi-Fi is also available here, but students have to pay for it. However, it is not worth it. All the books in the library are in a minimum of 5 number, so everyone can get used to it. It is one of the best libraries. Even the postings are in KMC Manipal Hospital, and good facilities are provided in the hospital. Postings begin from the 3rd or 4th semester, and even a dedicated room is provided for the respiratory therapist in the hospital.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are knowledgeable, but students have to be in contact with them regularly. Students have to approach them and get their doubts solved. They help you in every aspect, even in the clinical postings. The course is relevant as placements are 100%.

Other: Students get top-notch and world-class experience in our college. I think it is one of the best campuses in India with all the facilities, which are perfect for sports, gym and hostels. Everything is great, and you can have the best 4 years here.
