The cutoff for this Institute is released after the opening and closing ranks after NEET UG counselling. Inorder to get admissions at the Medical college Kolkata, the candidate must write the NEET-UG exams. The admissions for B.Sc at this Institute is based on the NEET marks and rank. Medical College Kolkata accepts NEET UG exam score for the admission to MBBS course. The NEET cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 2. As per the Medical College Kolkata cutoff 2024, the last round closing cutoff stood at 3427 for the MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. For 2023 and 2022, the Round 2 closing cutoff for MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery were 3224 and 1855, respectively for the General All India category students. Considering the past three year cutoff trends, the institute witnessed an increasing trend for MBBS.

The NEET 2025 result is expected to be released in the first week of June 2025, within a month of conducting the exam. NTA does not announce the NEET result date in advance. Although last year the result date was stated to be declared on June 14, NTA released it 10 days in advance. Hence, there is no fixed date or schedule for NTA to declare the NEET result. Prior to the declaration of the result, NTA releases the final NEET answer key. Last year, NEET was conducted on May 5 and the result was declared June 4.
