Decent placement, faculty, curriculum, and best for private colleges in Kolkata.
Placements: 60-70 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 12.5 LPA, and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. 70-80 percent of students get internships from my course in companies like TCS and Wipro. TCS, Lumino, Cognizant, and Amazon are the top-most companies that recruit from our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classroom and library available for my course/ department. We don't have any hostel facility, but there are private hostels nearby. The food, mess and canteen are well cleaned. Medical facilities and sports like cricket and football are available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated, qualified and knowledgeable for my course or department. The course curriculum is relevant, it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exam is very easy if you study the entire semester, and the pass percentage is 80-90%.
Other: I chose it because I want to be a senior electrical engineer. The subjects should be improved because the syllabus is so old. Techfest is held here.

Deep review of MSIT, Kolkata.
Placements: Placements are average for the CSE course and very bad for core subjects. In civil, there are chances of being placed off campus or on campus by the placement cell. Our CSBS placements are good. The Tata company hires us, but if we find off-campus, then it benefits us directly. In some courses, placements are very bad.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, but not given to students. Rooms are not available because of a huge influx of admissions. The rest of the things are good. Labs are well-maintained. The seminar hall is also good. Our department class is in a bad position, and AC is not working at all.
Faculty: Some teachers are very good, and some are poor. The maximum lab faculty members is bad. They behave badly toward students. Sometimes, they say such words that are very demotivating. They put pressure on attendance pressure, or else our CA marks are affected, which gives us an absence and affects CGPA.
Other: Everything is average, but I recommend all don't take admission in MAKAUT-affiliated colleges or in MSIT because the whole system is very bad. They internationally fail us and give a low score, which affects CGPA directly. After we fail, they recover money or take PPR (review) money and then pass us. I recommend students take admission in an autonomous college that is affiliated with MAKAUT.

This is a average college.
Placements: Approximately 60% of students got placed. Last year, the highest package was 21.64 LPA. The average package was 3.5 LPA. TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture, and Wipro are the top recruiters. No such internship is provided by the college. A total of 20 to 25 companies visit our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities, computer labs, libraries, digital libraries, etc., are available. The college does not have any hostels. Private hostels and PGs are present nearby. College has a canteen, but the quality of food is average. The common rooms are available. The campus size is very small.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated and qualified. The exam difficulty is moderate. They are knowledgeable and very helpful. Approximately 70% of students pass the semester with no supplementary.
Other: Here, we organized the fest and the freshers fest. Clubs are not so good, some clubs are good.

It has good faculty members and placement assistants.
Placements: Around 80-85 percent of students got placed. Top recruiting companies include TCS Infosys Capgemini Cognizant and Wipro. Nearly 70 percent of students secured internships in companies like TCS and Internshala listed startups. Roles offered range from full-stack developer and QA engineer to data analyst and support engineer. The placement cell conducts regular soft skill sessions and mock interviews to enhance student preparedness.
Infrastructure: The CSE department has well-equipped computer labs a table WiFi and projectors in classrooms. The library is resourceful with both physical and digital access. Hostel facility is not available. The mess food is average but hygienic. Overall the infrastructure is sufficient for academic needs.
Faculty: Most teachers are qualified and supportive especially in CSE. They are approachable for doubts and project guidance. The course curriculum is mostly industryrelevant with subjects aligned to current trends in tech. Coding clubs and workshops further enhance learning. Semester exams are moderately tough but manageable with regular study.
Other: The college offers good returns for the fee charges. Considering the placement support lab facilities and faculty members it is value for money. Scholarships are also available for deserving students and educational loans are accepted. The campus has a healthy and diverse crowd. There are multiple student-run clubs and fests like TechStorm. Cultural events are also organised throughout the year. The college is well-connected to the city via metro and bus. The surrounding area is safe and has eateries and hostels. Extracurricular activities are encouraged.

Placements: Around 80 to 85% of students were placed. Highest salary package reached is 10 LPA. Lowest salary package is 3.5 LPA. Average salary offered is around 5 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, and Wipro. Nearly 70% of students secured internships in companies like TCS, Internshala-listed startups, and Microsoft partners. Most common roles offered were Software Developer, Analyst, and QA Engineer.
Infrastructure: CSE department has well-equipped labs, updated systems, high-speed Wi-Fi, SMART classrooms, and access to digital libraries. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled with decent cleanliness and maintenance. No hostel facilities at college, food in canteen is average but hygienic. Canteen serves good food at reasonable prices.
Faculty: Most teachers are qualified and supportive, especially in CSE. They are approachable for doubts and project guidance. Consistent placement and qualified teachers.
Placements: About 65% of students were placed from the current passing out batch of 2024. The highest package from B.Tech CSE was approximately 16 LPA and the lowest was about nearly 4.5 LPA. The average package offered was between 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Mostly TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Cognizant are the top recruiting companies for our course. I am now in my second year but my seniors have got decent internships from CSE in IT companies such as Deloitte, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college provides an average campus with good classrooms, fully AC libraries, and decent practical labs. Wi-Fi connections are good at times but generally cut out due to the area where the college is situated. The hostels in my college a decent ones with good food, but with a smaller space for rooms. It is nearer to my college which is good for my transportation.
Faculty: The teachers at my college are helpful and friendly. They are always ready to help the students in any kind of need besides study. The quality of their teaching is also good. Moreover, the course curriculum also makes the students industry-ready for the near future. The semester exams are conducted by MAKAUT University and they set a moderate to hard difficulty in exams. The passing percentage is about 38%-40 %.
Other: Lastly, I want to just say my college is a good one to opt for B.Tech CSE. Overall, everything is good in this college. Moreover, this college mainly focuses on education and sincerity in studies. The events of this college gave me immense joy to watch till now as I am now in 2nd year. Think sincerely before entering any college as you will decide your future by hard work not the colleges will do for you.

With 82.57 percentile and Delhi home quota, CSE in MAIT/MSIT is almost impossible. For general quota CSE, MAIT closing rank is around 47–48k and MSIT home state around 109k. Spot round chances are super slim at this rank.
