To get admission to a two-year M.Tech course at MIT AOE, the minimum eligibility criteria is to pass a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant stream of Engineering and Technology with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Admission to this course is entirely entrance-based. Candidates are selected based on their valid scores obtained in GATE entrance exam.

Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Alandi Pune (also known as MIT AOE Alandi Pune) is an autonomous private institution. MITAOE is stablished in 1999 and is only the third institute in Pune that has been bestowed with 'academic autonomy' by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The GATE 2026 registration is now ongoing at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates can fill out the application form till September 28 (without late fees). The last date to submit the GATE 2026 application form with late fees is October 9.

As a candidate can appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 30 papers for which the GATE 2025 will be conducted, they must carefully choose the papers they wish to write. A candidate is expected to appear in the papers appropriate to the discipline of his or her qualifying degree. However, he or she is free to choose any paper according to his or her admission plan, keeping in mind the GATE eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he or she wishes to seek admission. MIT Academy of Engineering Alandi provides a four-year undergraduate course for Bachelor of Design programme. The university offers three specialisations for the programme: BDes in Product Design, BDes in User Experience Design and BDes in Communication Design.
