Review of Narasinha Dutt College.

Placements: The placement rate is very low here as this college has only degree courses, i.e., B.Sc, B.A and B.Com (Hons) or general. Students who got placements got a salary package of around 3 LPA-4 LPA. In this college, there are very few chances to get internships. After B.Sc, there will be very few chances to get a reliable job.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good here compared to other colleges in Howrah district. Labs and the library are very good here. The campus is average, but the classrooms are good. There is Wi-Fi on the entire campus. There is a canteen facility with good quality food at a low price.

Faculty: Teachers here are very good, helpful and well qualified. They always try to give their best and are very honest and friendly. As our college doesn't have any industrial courses, it has only degree courses. So students only get theoretical knowledge and some practical knowledge. Semester exams are sometimes harder. The pass percentage is around 85%. There are many subject options.

Other: I chose this course because from my school life I have much interest in the computer and its function and programs.

Good college and good environment.

Placements: There were no placements from this college. Actually, after B.Sc., it was quite difficult to get a job, but all of us in the 2020-2023 batch have now completed our M.Sc. or MCA from a recognized university. Every professor guided us on how to get a job, which fields have more options, and the latest technologies, like AI, were also part of the course. So, for higher studies, it was the best option.

Infrastructure: Look, if you want to stay in the hostel, I don’t know if the college has its own hostel or not. If you live in Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, or any nearby district, it's easily possible to commute daily. Train facility was available. The train station was 15 minutes away from the college. There were also bus stops and metro stations available. So there was no problem with transportation. The lab quality was good, and Wi-Fi was available.

Faculty: Faculty in the Computer Science department is much better compared to other departments. Professors are friendly and experienced, so in terms of academics, it's good. Now, if I talk about daily classes, some professors were strict about attendance, which is quite reasonable because if you miss a class, you wouldn’t understand anything the next day.

Other: If you studied well, then you would obviously pursue your M.Sc. or any further degree from a reputed university. It had good conceptual skills in core CS.
