NIELIT Ropar Application Process 2025: How to Apply?
NIELIT Ropar admissions are conducted in online mode. Candidates need to visit the website of the institute to apply for admissions (student.nielit.gov.in). The step-wise application process is elaborated below:
- Click on 'new user' and create an account with candidate's email ID and contact number
- Enter personal details such as the candidate's name, gender, nationality, date of birth, etc.
- Enter the correspondence address of the candidate
- Update the academic details such as qualifications achieved, year of passing, name of the board/ university, etc.
- Enter Aadhaar card number. In the absence of Aadhar, the candidate may submit the details of other official IDs such as PAN card, passport, driving license, etc.
- Pay the application fee of Rs 500 and click on 'submit'

Once the application number is generated, candidates need to log in again with their credentials and upload the following scanned documents:
- Passport-size photograph
- Class 10 certificate bearing date of birth

IIT Ropar's B.Tech eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Candidates must have achieved a minimum of 75% overall in class 12 (or similar) board exams. Maths, Physics, and Chemistry are mandatory subjects for the board examination.
Note: 65% for the candidates of PwD, ST/SC.

NIELIT Ropar offers Protsahan Puraskar Scheme for SC/ST/physically handicapped and female students pursuing NIELIT O/A/B/C level courses.
Eligibility for the scholarship:
- Candidates must clear the papers in the first attempt
- The income of the parents of the student from all sources should not be more than INR 1 LPA
A candidate has to apply for the Scholarship along with the following documents:
- Proof of registration/op-gradation
- Proof of passing the examination of the relevant level
- Proof of pursuing O/A/B/C level as full-time courses

Though minimum qualification for each disciple varies. As per my research there is no information available on the official website or other sources regarding the acceptance of any specific entrance exam scores for admission to UG Diploma at NIELIT Ropar.
