National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology, Ropar (NIELIT), is a public institute in IT-HRD. It was established in 2016 under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. NIELIT Ropar offers both formal academic courses and industry-recognised certifications. NIELIT Ropar is an affiliate with the Punjabi University Patiala and recognised by AICTE. The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology is ISO certified. In general, NIELIT (earlier known as DOEACC Society) has 47 centers located in different parts of India.
NIELIT Ropar offers various training programmes and formal courses to help students and professionals build skills in IT and Electronics including MCA, MSc (IT), BCA, and BSc (IT), among others. The institute focuses on emerging technologies such as Big Data, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Machine Learning (ML), Cloud Computing, and Internet of Things.
