NIFT Gandhinagar admission criteria are completely entrance-based. Candidates looking for course admission must sit and appear for the NIFT entrance exam first. STEP 1: NIFT Gandhinagar Application Process 2025
Candidates who meet the course-specific eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. Eligible students can fill out the application form through the NIFT official website (nift.ac.in/niftadmissions.in/nift.ac.in/admission).
STEP 2: Appear for the Entrance Exam
Post application, aspirants must appear for the NIFT Entrance Exam. The exam is conducted once every year and has TWO parts:
- Written Exams—These comprise the GAT and CAT. The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs, while only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT.
- Situation Test/ Personal Interview - BDes candidates who get shortlisted have to appear in the Situation Test, whereas PG candidates need to appear in a Personal Interview. The only exception is B.F.Tech program, where the admission merit list will be prepared solely based on GAT scores.
STEP 3: Release of Cutoff List
After the selection rounds, the institute releases the NIFT Gandhinagar cutoff list. The cutoff marks vary from one course to another.
STEP 4: NIFT Counselling

As per the current system, there is no scope to pay the NIFT 2025 application fee using demand draft.
The candidate has to pay the NIFT application fee 2025 online using online payment gateway, including credit card, debit card, or net banking.
Note that unless the application fee has been paid successfully, the NIFT 2025 application form filling process will not be considered complete.
