NIFT Kolkata invited ITC for online placement drive and company recruited two Fashion Communication students with a package of INR 8.20 LPA. However, the salary package mentioned here, i.e., INR 8.20 LPA is a collective placement data of NIFT Bhubaneswar and NIFT Kolkata campuses. The college has not released the salary package for the year 2022.  According to Shiksha review, the highest package offered for BDes Fashion Design was INR 6 LPA during the recent placement drive. NIFT Chennai students were offered various roles such as Associate Designer, Assistant Designer, Fashion Stylist and many more. This is to note that, the highest package and roles offered are gathered from Shiksha review page. National Institute of Fashion technology, Kolkata is a government college that provides various UG and PG courses. It offers  B.Des Fashion designing, B.Des fashion communication, B.Des accesory design, B.Des textile design, B.Des knitwear design, B.Des leather designing  and B.F.tech at UG level and MFM at PG levels, in total institution provides eight courses from different streams.

Fees for UG and PG courses in this college is between 5.5 - 12.3 Lacs.

National Institute for Fashion Technology, Kolkata established in 1995, is a government college. 

Students who are seeking to get admitted in National Institute for Fashion Technology, Kolkata should have to appear in written exams conducted by NIFT. The written exams are comprises of creative ability test (CAT) and General Aptitude Test (GAT) B.Des and M.Des candidates have to appear for both and other candidates need to appear only for GAT . Shorlisted students called for situation test / personal interview.
