Budget but really a good college.
Placements: 20% of students got placement. The highest package is 7k, and the lowest is 3k. They provide internships like junior reporter and junior editor. They provide placements in well-known media houses. Our seniors got placement in AAJ TAAK BANGLA. Some of our batchmates got placement in 24GHANTA.
Infrastructure: The lab condition is good. We can access it. The library is also in good condition with lots of books. Canteen food is so-so. Our department provides us with many facilities. We can access our lab whenever we need. They use projectors to teach us. Our college also organizes Sports Day.
Faculty: Teachers are really good. They help us so much. They make us ready for the media professions indeed. All our teachers are so much qualified and helpful. They genuinely help us whenever we need. The exams are difficult, but they provide us with study materials so that we can excel in the exam.

Infrastructure: Our college provided good infrastructure. Wi-Fi was not available. Our college labs were excellent. All systems were provided in labs. The library was good. Mess was not available in college. The quality of food in the canteen was good.
Faculty: Our teachers were good. They were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course made students industry-ready. Semester exams were difficult, but internal exams were easy. Our teachers provided all suggestions for exams. The pass percentage was 40%.

I am satisfied with this college. It has a good infrastructure.
Placements: It is a government college where placements and internships are not done basically. Only 1% of students got placed. I do not know about the salary package offered to the students. Deloitte is the top company for B.Com. Only 1% of students got internships. Roles like CA, CM, CS, etc., are offered.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, and library are all good. The hostel is not available. The canteen, sports, games and medical facilities are available in this college. Wi-Fi system is not available for all, and it is only available for lab classes. Sports and common room for games are very well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They all are very careful about students. B.Com (Hons) is a good course for the future. It is a Calcutta University-affiliated college so semester exams are not held in a college, and it has a different procedure.
Other: Actually, I like this stream, so I have chosen it. Everything is good here. Events and fests are organised here.

B.A. (Hons.) in English - Batch of 2021

Netaji Nagar Day College is one of the best colleges in south Kolkata for English Honours.
Placements: There are about 60 students in English honours. As it is a typical government college, there are no direct placements for students from the college. Companies come here basically with jobs in sales, and students of all the departments could participate in the interviews.
Infrastructure: Our college is very tidy and well-maintained. The washrooms are clean and have proper plumbing. There's no Wi-Fi for students but only for computers. The library has a sufficient number of books for all streams and also computers with Wi-Fi access. There's no hostel facility, and the campus is small with no ground. But the student body arranges several indoor and outdoor sports every year on the nearby ground.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and very student-friendly and provide all types of support to students. Studying English honours is only relevant if you are aiming for a job as a teacher. The semester exams are quite difficult as they are conducted by Calcutta University, but with the help of our faculty, I was able to pass all the semester exams with more than 70% marks. The average percentage is about 50-60%.

The college is good, but the M.Com faculty, placements, and infrastructure need improvement.
Placements: Honestly, placements were not that good here. In our batch, nobody got placed through the college. We had to find opportunities on our own. But when we applied by ourselves, we did get offers, not because of the college name, but because of the degree. You had to be eligible for internships with at least 60% to apply to MNCs.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, and the library were very good here. You could collect books according to your choice, just making sure to inform them. The food was not very good. I did not see medical facilities, so I can’t comment on that.
Faculty: Teachers were quite helpful, and of course, they were qualified. The B.Com faculty was good, but I also did my Master's from this college, and that faculty was not good. The semesters were moderate, as they should be. You could not expect to pass without studying. Teachers were very welcoming as well. They helped and reached out to us whenever we needed them.
Other: I chose this course because I developed an interest in this field. Somehow, I took commerce. There was no proper planning or organization. The Master's faculty in this college needs to improve. Only two teachers were active. The others neither took classes regularly nor completed the syllabus properly. When it came to campus events, it was not that good. During my years, I did not get the opportunity to participate in or celebrate any events, neither Freshers’ Day nor Farewell Day in my master's life.

It is budget-friendly, affordable, has a good location, helpful teachers, and good faculty.
Placements: Less than 5% of students got directly placed from college, but the rest did well in life. The highest package was 7.5 LPA, the lowest was 1.5 LPA, and the average was 3.7 LPA. Companies like Deloitte, PWC, Reliance, and Tata Capital recruited students. About 3% got placed in the banking sector. Most are in top roles such as accounts executive, audit associate, financial analyst, tax, banking, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: We had a library, medical room, playground, a few smart classes, a computer lab, a seminar hall, and Wi-Fi. The hostel was basic with limited rooms and average cleanliness. The canteen had average-tasting food available. Medical facilities were available, and the sports playground was average.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and knowledgeable, both in theory and practicals, to help us. The curriculum was very relevant, and it did make students industry-ready. Teachers provided full support. Semester exams couldn’t be called difficult, as they solely depended on the students’ preparation.
Other: I loved numbers, and the main reason I chose this course was its strong career scope in finance, accounting, and corporate sectors, as well as laying the foundation for my MBA. I would say more internship opportunities would have been helpful. Events included the annual cultural fest, seminars, and workshops. The campus crowd was diverse and well-connected by metro, bus, and auto. The campus surroundings were urban and crowded, with many food joints nearby. Scholarships for SC/ST and merit-based students were available. Extracurricular activities included NSS, NCC, debate, quiz, sports, and cultural clubs.
