The admission process for Delhi Technological University (DTU) and Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) for B.Tech courses in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) involves various factors such as the number of available seats, the total number of applicants, the cutoff scores, and the reservation policies. With a CRL rank of 28,000 and an OBC rank of 7,000, you may have a chance of getting admission to CSE in DTU or NSUT. However, the actual cutoff scores and admission criteria may vary every year, and the competition for CSE branch may also be high. As an outside Delhi candidate with defense quota priority 6, you may have a chance of getting admission to CSE in DTU or NSUT, but it depends on various factors, such as the number of available seats under defense quota and the cutoff scores. I would advise you to keep track of the cutoff scores and admission process for DTU and NSUT, participate in the counseling process, and apply to multiple colleges to increase your chances of getting admission to your preferred college and branch. You can also contact the admission department of the colleges directly for more information on the admission process and eligibility criteria.

Hello Vipin Jain, I must SEE that you are percentage is indeed quite excellent. But perhaps to get the branch of computer Science engineering it may not be enough. This I will demonstrate you by way of a little mathematics. Your percentile means that almost 1% of the total students appearing or above you in order of merit. If we are shown of figure of 10 Lacs students who appeared for this examination then one percent comes to about 10000. The total number of seats available for this branch is not this much. In addition almost every student gives this branch as the first choice hence the closing ranks or really high. However to help you I am attaching a link that will take you to the college predictor design by Shiksha which can predict the college and the branch that you can get based on your performance in this examination. https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/jee-main-college-predictor
Best wishes to you.
Best wishes to you.

As confirmed by a final-year Mechanical undergraduate at DTU-Professors, academics, labs and everything else may be comparable but you aren't going to study all the time. So, when it comes to activities outside the classroom, DTU trumps NSIT easily. Be it curricular fests, sports activities, cultural societies, lenient environment, better infrastructure or even campus as a whole, DTU is far better than NSIT. And taking into consideration the reputation and demand of Mechanical, DTU's Mechanical Engineering stream trumps NSIT's. Even in the field of placements, companies prefer DTU over NSIT for the recruitment of Mechanical Engineering. NSIT needs time to set up its brand when it comes to Mechanicals. '

If you have got the desired number 1 choice in the first round of counseling and you are happy with the allotted branch, then you can choose to "freeze your branch" option to secure your admission. Freezing your branch means that you are satisfied with the branch and college allotted to you and do not wish to participate in any further rounds of counseling. However, before making a final decision, you should consider a few things such as your interest in the branch, job prospects, and future career aspirations. You should also keep in mind that once you freeze your branch, you will not be allowed to change it in the subsequent rounds of counseling. So, if you are confident about your choice and do not wish to take any further risks, then you can opt for freezing your branch. On the other hand, if you have any doubts or if you have got a better option in the subsequent rounds of counseling, then you can choose to wait and explore more options. Ultimately, the decision to freeze your branch should be based on your personal preferences and goals.
