NSUT Admission & Application Process 2026
NSUT accepts admission through various national-level & university-level entrance exams. These include CUET-UG, CAT, and JEE Main. Students who meet the eligibility and selection criteria established by the university can apply the form through NSUT official website. Given below is the NSUT admission process:
NSUT Application Process 2026
For Netaji Subhas University of Technology course admissions, except BTech, MBA and BArch at NSUT, students are required to fill out the application form through the university’s official website by paying the required application fee for final submission. The application fees for BTech (Lateral Entry) and PG courses is INR 1,500.
- For BTech/ BArch, candidates need to apply for JEE Main on the official website of NTA.
- For MBA and BBA (Hons), aspirants have to apply for any of the accepted entrance exams followed by CMAC- Common Management Admission Committee. The registration fees is INR 1,500 + Transaction Fee for MBA and BBA each.
For the other courses, students can check the eligibility first. Eligible students can then follow the steps below to complete the Netaji Subhas University of Technology application process:

- Look for the 'Admission' tab and from there select course-level.
- From the new page, click on the 'Link' option in front of the course.

NSUT Selection Criteria 2026
NSUT admission is completely entrance exam based. The university inducts students through various national-level & university-level entrance exams, like CUET-UG, CAT, JEE-Main for different programmes. Students having valid scores in aforementioned exams will be shortlisted for the counselling process. Check below course-wise selection criteria:
- For BTech/ BArch, aspirants need to pass JEE Main/ JEE Main Paper-II.
- The selection for MBA is based on CAT or MAT scores of the aspirants. For BBA, aspirants need to have CUET-UG scores.
- CUET-PG scores are considered for admission in MA and MSc courses. Aspirants need GATE scores for admission in MTech. Non-GATE applicants need to appear for written test conducted by the university for admission.
- In BDes, first priority is given to aspirants with UCEED scores followed by national-level design entrance exam scores. Third priority is given to students with rank in state-level Design entrance examination.
- Aspirants need to appear for Common Entrance Examination conducted by NSUT for lateral entry in BTech course.

Merit List
The university releases a merit list or list of shortlisted candidates on the university's website. For MBA and BBA, the list is released on the official website of CMAC.
Counselling
Aspirants need to apply and participate in JAC Delhi Counselling for BTech/ BArch programme. Aspirants must score equal or above NSUT cutoff for admission. In Round-1 cutoff of 2026, 4133 of CSE (AI) was the most competitive rank followed by 8540 of Computer Engineering.
- For MBA and BBA, candidates need to apply and participate in Common Management Admission Committee or CMAC process.
- For all other courses, aspirants need to participate in university-level counselling. The university releases list of vacant seats after each round of counselling.
NSUT Final Seat Allotment 2026
After the completion of the counselling process, students are allotted seat based on their entrance exam rank. For BTech/ BArch/ MBA/ BBA, the seat allotment is done region-wise. 85% seats in all participating institute is for Delhi Region candidates. 15% seats are for candidates from outside Delhi. Aspirants need to report at the campus for document verification and fee payment.
Documents required at the time of reporting for BTech:
- Receipt of seat acceptance fee payment
- Online created registration form duly siged by guardian/ parent and candidate
- Printout of filled choices (printed after closing of registration)
- 3 passport-size photographs
- Printout of admit card and scorecard of JEE Main
- Class 12 or equivalent marksheet
- Prinout of seat allotment letter downloaded from JAC Delhi's website
- Date of Birth Certificate as indicated in Class 10 marksheet
- Reserved category/ sub-category certificate
- Medical Fitness Certificate original, etc.
NSUT Fee Refund Policy 2026
In case of withdawal of admission, a fee refund policy is followed to return certain amount to the students. Check below the details for NSUT fee refund policy:

NSUT provides a comprehensive two-year full-time MBA programme. In addition to the traditional MBA, NSIT also presents a specialised two-year full-time MBA in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV). NSUT offers a four-year full-time BBA (Hons) course at the UG level. Aspirants must pass Class 12 with at least 60% aggregate to apply. You cannot get admissions into BTech CSE course at NSUT without JEE Mains scores. Because the JEE Mains scores are necessary for admissions to NSUT undergraduate engineering courses. Thus, one can only enroll in the programme if they have valid scores in the entrance examination.

After completing the form of MBA course at NSUT. Students required to pay a registration amount of Rs. 1,500 + transaction fee (If any) for all categories. This amount is non-refundable. Once it paid, it can not be reversed.

The accepted entrance exam for admissions into BTech course at NSUT is always JEE Mains. Students need to qualify the eligibility as per the JEE Mains first. Then, they can apply for the UG Engineering course at NSUT. Then, students need to appear for JAC Delhi 2026 Counselling.
