Really good campus and fine arts facilities.
Placements: 70% of internships are offered through the course. You can secure an internship right after graduation and during your final year. Not everyone gets an internship, but because of our course, we can also enroll in freelancing and work on our passions. The highest average package offered in our course was 3.4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Even though we need better classrooms as fine arts students, we are working on it with the support of our faculty. Although I am not a hosteler, hostel life is really great in our college compared to other hostels. Hostlers receive food four times a day, and there are many cafes and restaurants available as well.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and well-qualified. They assist us a lot with our work and are truly inspiring. Twice a month, we go on educational trips to visit factories, engage in outdoor painting, or other activities, which really helps us understand various concepts. I wouldn't say the semester exams are difficult, as the pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I chose this course because I really enjoy painting and digital art. The best aspect of our course is that it involves a lot of practical work, not just books and reading, which enhances our learning experience. One area I wish to improve is the space and facilities provided by the authorities because, as art students, we need our own space to work. Many festivals and events are organized, along with numerous extracurricular activities, which is really nice.

The campus is well-surrounded with greenery and is enjoyable.
Placements: All the students start their own businesses. Placement drive takes place as well. Not everyone gets the internship, but they enroll in freelancing and work with their own passion.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi on the campus, but it is provided in the college. Libraries are spacious, and classrooms are well-developed. The campus is amazing and beautiful. A canteen, medical facilities and sports and games are provided.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable, and their teaching quality is also good. This course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. About 4 internal exams are conducted, i.e., two exams are conducted in each semester, and two exams are external exams per year.

Q:   Is it good to pursue fine arts?
A:

Hello,

Since your question is relevant for students pursuing their undergraduate or postgraduate studies, I would like to answer this question for the benefit of many. Those who choose B.A. (Hons) or M.A. Fine Arts typically head for a career as an Artist, who could work on aesthetics and whose sole purpose is self-expression.

Based on the portfolio of work, Artists may choose to participate in exhibitions to gain valuable experience, work with art galleries, print, digital design, illustrator for magazines and newspapers - the list is endless. The curriculum at School of Design & Fashion, IILM University looks at both the aspects of the need as an artist as well as a designer, we have major-minor, subject choice/combination where one can opt for B.A. (hons) Fine Arts as a major and can learn Design (Product/ Fashion/ Interior/ Interaction Design) or opt for papers from Management, Psychology, Journalism, Media & Communication (to name a few) as a minor. At both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, students gain exposure to the industry, network with artists, and get ready for a career in the area of their interest.

Good luck.
