The closing rank for NIT Manipur BTech, MTech and MSc courses is released by the respective counselling bodies. For BTech, JoSAA releases closing rank for every category of candidates. NIT Manipur does allow a one-time branch change for BTech students after the completion of the first year. This is based purely on your academic performance in the first two semesters. You must have a very high CGPA and there must be vacant seats in the branch you wish to join.

At NIT Manipur, all BTech students belonging to the SC and ST categories get a 100% tuition fee waiver. This means you do not have to pay anything for tuition, but yes, other institutional charges like admission and development fees still need to be paid.

To join NIT Manipur, you must first register and appear for the JEE Main entrance exam for the BTech course. After results are out, you need to participate JoSAA counselling. At the time of counselling, list NIT Manipur as your preferred choice. If your rank matches the cutoff, you will get a seat.

For NIT Manipur, the BTech fee mentioned in the academic schedule doesn't include hostel and mess charges. BTech admission registrations at NIT Manipur are conducted through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling. These registrations start in early June, following the declaration of JEE Main results.
