January 03, 2024: The NMIMS School of Performing Arts (SoPA) is currently accepting applications for its B.A. programs in Music – Indian Music (Vocal/Sitar) and Music – Western Contemporary (Vocals/Piano/Guitar/Drums) for the upcoming academic year. Established in 2018 with 13 students, SoPA has now grown to over 100 students. A notable feature is the introduction of 'Naad Expression,' a monthly concert providing a platform for both Indian and Western Contemporary music students to showcase their talents and receive feedback. This experiential learning tool enhances their educational experience at SoPA. The last date of Online registration for Phase 1 admission is January 29, 2024.

Taught by industry leaders, students have the opportunity to work with renowned musicians, composers, and production houses during a 40-hour internship in their third year.

Dr Vikas Bharadwaj, Dean of SoPA, highlights the institute's cutting-edge infrastructure and special curriculum, emphasizing its role in providing a solid foundation in both Indian and Western music. Eligibility criteria include passing 10+2 exams with a minimum of 50%, and the selection process involves the submission of 2-5 minute unedited YouTube videos followed by an online audition for shortlisted candidates.
