The campus life of Oriental.
Placements: Around 40 percent of students are placed in our course. The highest package is 72 LPA, and the lowest is around 2 LPA - 3 LPA. TCS and Capgemini are some companies that visit our college more often, and students mostly get placed in them. Around 60 percent of students get internships, and some start their own startups. Role offered is software engineer.
Infrastructure: Our college has very beautiful infrastructure. The building and garden are very aesthetic and pretty. Many movie shootings have also happened here. Classrooms are 3.5/5. Labs are good, and computer labs are well air-conditioned as well. Hostel rooms are okay but mess food is like 2/5. Medical and sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Many teachers at OIST are qualified and knowledgeable. They also provide very good guidance to the students. Many are helpful in nature and with good behaviour, acting like school teachers. Course curriculum is mostly based on the RGVP, not industry level. Semester exams are good.

Life at OIST unfiltered.
Placements: At our college, every year the average placement is 5 - 6 LPA, and nearly 70% of students get placed as well. Many companies like TCS, Cisco, and Wipro visit the campus during placements. The highest package has been 72 LPA, and off-campus is also available. Training for placements is also provided here. Mock tests and mock interviews are also conducted before placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is impressive. Many facilities, like a hostel, gym, sports ground, canteen, etc., are provided here. In hostels, there is a mess for students from where we get hygienic and delicious food. There are separate hostels for Boys and Girls, and there is a guest house as well. In the canteen, the food is available at a reasonable price and is made with hygiene and great effort. There is Wi-Fi provided as well. A spacious library and medical facilities are also provided. Overall, the facilities provided are pretty decent.
Faculty: The faculty here is very helpful and approachable. Their ways of teaching are quite impressive. The course curriculum is relevant enough, our curriculum is based on the RGPV syllabus. Exams are conducted twice a year, at the end of every semester. Mid-semester examinations are also conducted twice a semester. Difficult level is moderate. Grades are given in each subject. Practical and internal exams are also conducted.
Other: I chose B.Tech in ECE, because I always wanted to be an engineer, and in my college, the course that I'm doing is very affordable, and I'm able to do it because there are many perks as well. Like category-based scholarships, there are many other scholarships as well. Admissions through TFW are also available. The crowd is vibrant, which makes college life more enjoyable. Many opportunities, apart from academics, are provided, like sports, NCC, and even NSS. There are student clubs and societies that help in connectivity between students. Events and workshops also take place quite often. Annual fests and events are also conducted yearly with full enthusiasm.

Placements: Although a fair percentage of students get placed, you can't rely on college for placement solely because some of us have different needs. The average package is 3.5 LPA. Companies like TCS and several startups come to place students for different roles.
Infrastructure: All the Labs for different departments are well-equipped with the latest systems. Also, the classrooms are big enough. Library could be your actual favourite place due to its beautiful infrastructure and 1000s of academic books, with some non-academic and exam preparation books too. This happens to be my favourite place for studying and being in.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and nice to students. You can't fully rely on college for studies. But they teach fairly well. The course is RGPV University affiliated. They actually give you an idea of your area of interest, knowing the basics of different techniques each semester. But I'll just suggest starting your placement journey from the 1st year itself. The competition is tough.
Other: The best thing about my course or any other department course is that they are actually specialised for your branch. There can be no major improvements in the course curriculum, though. In college life, you actually talk about non-academic things. This is the place where you get a lot of opportunities to grow in your passion. Tech fest is the best time of year. You get to know new people. You engage in different activities. There are several events in the tech fest. Seminars and conferences, and also events like TEDx (my fav), are organised timely to keep you in the forefront.

The beauty of the Oriental Institute.
Placements: 60% of students were placed. The highest package offered was 72 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 3LPA. Top recruiting companies were TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, and Cisco. Above 60% of students get internships and placement in companies like TCS, Wipro, Cisco, and Capgemini. Software Developer, AI development, Machine Learning, etc, roles were offered.
Infrastructure: Computer labs were well air-conditioned with top-quality monitors present. Chemistry, physics, mechanical, etc, labs were there with all the required equipment. The library had a variety of books and was a good place for learning, with a calm environment. The college infrastructure was very beautiful and aesthetic, with nature and cleanliness around.
Faculty: Teachers of the oriental institute of Science and Technology were very knowledgeable and guided us very nicely in our courses. The course curriculum was very relevant; they provided many practical projects and CRT, etc. Classes to make students industry-ready. Semester exams were not that difficult if we studied properly.
Other: This course is the most demanding right now. I had many good friends in college, and it also organized many hackathons, sports events, NCC, etc

The percentage of students who got internships is approximately equal to the number of students who got placed. The top roles offered are sales, development, and intern.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the college are good, including advanced technology computer labs and a library with books for all relevant subjects for the course you have chosen. The quality of facilities in the hostel and food quality is also awesome. The canteen and medical facilities are available as well.
Faculty: Teachers on the campus are very helpful, well-qualified, knowledgeable, and the quality of their teaching is also very motivating and understandable. The course curriculum does not make students industry-ready, but the college provides industrial trips for the students to make them industry-ready. The semester exams are easy to pass.
Other: The purpose of choosing this course is due to the advanced technology coming in the world, where technical skills are far more valuable than non-technical courses.
