Bachelors in Public Health - Batch of 2024

2Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Good infrastructure and facilities with highly skilled faculty, and bad placements in 2024.
Placements: Basically, there is no placement cell for our course. Only 26% of students got placed in a research project under department faculty. The average salary package offered in our course is not specified. Top recruiting companies or organisations for our course are WHO, NHM, DGHS, and Unicef. Our course is of 4 years of which 3 years are for academic studies and 1 year is for internships. Internships are provided by the department itself. Top roles offered in our course are epidemiologist, research associate, field worker, associate professor, and senior demonstrater in some academic departments of School of Public Health.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but it can be better. Our department (DCM & SPH) contains classrooms for different years, a library, and Wi-Fi. The library is provided by the PGI Campus. Water and canteen facilities are also there. The quality of the hostel facilities is average. The quality of food is good, clean, and hygienic. Medical facilities are also provided to the students. The sports management team is also there. On an average, it is good.
Faculty: All professors and associate professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable. We have extremely knowledgeable and qualified teachers to help you in gaining your knowledge. The course curriculum is not very good. Our course is a new concept in India, it needs some kind of changes but the faculty and HOD itself take feedback from students to improve the quality of study and curriculum. There are no semester exams in this college. Annual exams are there, and I think annual exams are a better idea for students. The passing percentage is 50%.
Other: I chose this course as I want to be a field worker and get attached to the population at the field level to get to know their feedback so that the government can do better. The best thing about our course is that it fulfills my wishes and provides good exposure to the population. The curriculum needs to get better. As this course is new, the department should need to change by taking trips from foreign countries for this course. There are enough events and fests to relieve your mind. Everyone enjoys it a lot as our campus is in the hospital itself. It is much needed for a student.

B.Sc. Medical Technology (Dialysis Therapy Technology) - Batch of 2026

Dissatisfied with the higher officials and facilities for low placements.
Placements: There is a 1-year internship in the course. But the placements are a little low because the course is new and started 4 years ago. There are seats that should be given to eligible students but jobs are given to low-grade workers in order to give them a low salary and keep the government fund for themselves.
Infrastructure: There are very well developed classrooms and auditoriums for classes and conferences . Practical exposure is very high. The price of mess is very reasonable . Medical facilities are provided to each and every student . There is special relief in medicines for the students.
Faculty: Very experienced professors are available for teaching and are very helpful . Semester exams are of good level . The quality of teaching is top notch and one of the best all over the country. The administrative officials are very strict in order to make the students work hard .
Other: Placement of this course is a little low and colleges should work on it and give more importance to students well-being.

Good college review and nice facilities.
Placements: Our PGIMER has 93 percent of students placed in our course. The highest package offered is 3 lacs per annum in our course, and the lowest package is 35k based on the internship or job. Many companies and hospitals are collaborating for the best placements. More than 62% of students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is awesome and amazing. There are many facilities given to students, like high-speed Wi-Fi, and the labs are well-updated with all the tools. The library has all the required books. The canteen provides many types of facilities. The sports are well-conducted, both indoors and outdoors.
Faculty: Teachers are nice; they help us more in many ways, such as in our studies, and motivate us to gain good marks. The teaching is effective. The course curriculum is relevant, and the students are made ready for the industry. The semester exams are hard to pass. Passing percentage: 79% of students passed with good marks.

M.Sc. in Pharmacology - Batch of 2020

A really good college with qualified faculty.
Placements: At the PGIMER college, students were getting multiple placement opportunities. Around 50% of the students get placed in our college. The average package offered at this college was between 4-6 LPA. The top recruiters in the college were M Curve, Apollo, Cipla, Mankind, etc.
Infrastructure: This university had a well-maintained and developed infrastructure for our course. The college was offering facilities like Wi-Fi, a canteen, labs, a library, sports, etc. We were available for the students. Hostel facilities were available for the students of our college.
Faculty: The faculty of the college was highly qualified and knowledgeable about our course. The quality of the teaching was good enough. The course curriculum followed in college was relevant and made the students industry-ready. Exams at the college were easy to pass.

Physiotherapy in PGIMER.
Placements: Every year, 15 students enrol in the course. Internships last four and a half years, with four years of study followed by six months of internship. Every month, students receive a stipend of 500 rupees. Internships are available at the institute in a variety of wards and departments. Clinical trials work best here.
Infrastructure: There are no proper hostel facilities for students. Canteens are good, and food quality is adequate. A sports complex is available for sports activities. As the best medical institute after AIIMS Delhi, it offers a wide range of medical services.
Faculty: The teaching faculty is excellent, but more personnel are required. The course is curriculum relevant, and it brings out the best in students. It is not difficult to pass university exams if one studies well. The faculty is well-versed, and you can learn a lot from them in clinicals.

B.Sc. nursing in PGIMER.
Placements: 100% placements within PGI Chandigarh hospital with 1 Lac salary. In 4th year, a 6 months internship is provided, with Rs 14k as salary. As government jobs are available here, private companies don’t come here. According to students’ wish, they are even sent abroad.
Infrastructure: Hostel is very nice and very cheap. All facilities are provided and the staffs and warden are very cooperative. Good food, light facility and geyser are available.? Security is very strong here. Hostel is also very nearer to college and provides even fridge service.
Faculty: Faculties are very good here. Sports and co circular activities are also supported here. Competitions are conducted for various occasions here and students are given cash prize and various gifts. Exams are not so hard and easy to pass. 50% is the pass percentage.
Other: I choose this course because PGI has job surety.
