B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering - Batch of 2025

It is a decent college with supportive faculty, good infrastructure, and moderate placements.
Placements: Around 65-70% of students from our batch get placed through campus recruitment drives. The highest package is 7.5 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.4 LPA. The average package is 3.5 LPA. Students get placed in companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS iON, Internshala partners, startups in Bhubaneswar and Hyderabad, and local software firms through college tie-ups. Roles like software developer, web developer, Java developer, QA/testing engineer, support engineer, data analyst, and system analyst are offered here.
Infrastructure: Our computer science department at RITE College (BPUT) has good facilities, including Wi-Fi, well-equipped computer labs, spacious classrooms, and a library with relevant books and e-resources. Hostels are decent, with regular cleaning and basic amenities. The mess food is simple and hygienic, though average in taste. A small canteen is available for snacks. Basic medical facilities and emergency tie-ups with a nearby hospital are provided. The college also encourages sports, offering facilities for cricket, volleyball, badminton, and indoor games. Overall, the infrastructure supports both academic and personal development of students.
Faculty: Faculty members of our Computer Science department at RITE College (BPUT) are helpful, qualified, and supportive. Most of them are M.Tech or Ph.D holders. They deliver good teaching in core subjects like Java, DBMS, and data structures. The course curriculum is relevant and includes topics like AI and software engineering, but it needs more practical exposure. With self-effort and internships, students became industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult but manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is 80-85%. Many students cleared their papers on time. Overall, the academic experience is positive and has helped build a strong technical foundation.
Other: I was part of the B.Tech Computer Science batch (2020-2025) at RITE College under BPUT. I chose this course due to my interest in programming and technology. The best part of the course is learning core subjects like Java, DBMS, and data structures. However, more industry exposure and live projects would have made it better. The college hosted technical events, seminars, and cultural fests occasionally. The campus crowd is friendly, and the environment is peaceful. Scholarships are available for eligible students. Extracurricular activities and sports are encouraged. The campus has good road connectivity and basic amenities nearby.

Somewhat I am satisfied with the college.
Placements: Many students got placements due to well study facility, training about the interview, and job awareness ideas. Students got placements in software, MNC, electrical, and also other companies. Internship course was taken by students from government and non-governmental institutes.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, labs and library are properly managed. Food quality is manageable, and only vegetarian foods are available. Hostel facility is good, well-designed rooms and toilets. The emergency light system is available, and any time the medical facility is available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in our study. There are also doubt clearing classes, and PPT classes are also provided by teachers. Students also give PPT about environmental issues and study subjects. Industrial visit programme is given by the college. Any time students can ask their doubts to teachers.
Other: I have chosen this course because it improves my technical knowledge.

I think its location is odd, otherwise its okay.
Placements: 25 to 35 percent of students got placed in our course in my college. The highest and the lowest package of this course is 6 lakhs and 3 lakhs, respectively, per annum. 40 percent of students got internships from our course in different companies like I Infotech, Quate, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: There are various facilities and infrastructure available for our course and department, like unlimited Wi-Fi, a central library, well-maintained labs, AC classrooms, etc. Hostel quality was very good in this college, but the bathroom was not separate for each room. Food quality had variety and was adjustable.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and qualified, but the teaching method was not good for students because I think it is the old method. Yes, students were ready to face industries. Exams are totally the responsibility of the student because if students put in the effort and try to get the best score, then they will always achieve the best score.
Other: I chose this because I want to be a software developer, and the best thing about the course is its technology, which is always changing. I think the teaching method should be improved. Yes, events were arranged by the college.

It is a good college to get knowledge and make your future.
Placements: All passed out students get jobs in good companies, and about 78% of the students got placed from our course. I have no idea about the salary packages offered.
Infrastructure: In our college, faculty members are very friendly. Wi-Fi facility is also available in the computer lab. Labs are well-build and well designed to do experiments. Classrooms are well designed, and all classrooms are equipped with projectors and laptops.
Faculty: Our teachers are cooperative, well qualified, knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was very good. We perform all the activities in the class, and they give less homework to students.
Other: B.Tech courses are better than other courses as we get basics knowledge about our chosen branches. I wish there should be a good evaluation of our exam papers.

It is an average college with okay placements and decent teachers.
Placements: 80% of students got placed in my batch at a time. We got only 2 LPA as the highest package, and that is average. I think below average. Some companies conducted placement drives like QSpiders, Nextwave, etc. A web development role is offered to students.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi at labs, especially in the server room, for advanced computers. It has a big library. It provides many courses like computer science and engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, MBA, MCA, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in everything in every field. If we are in a different field like CSE and have doubts, we can easily ask any of the professors in the institute in any field, then they will surely help with that. I hope the college will do its best to prepare students for the upcoming industry's requirements. But now they have done it, but it is average.
