Dark side of Rajagiri - The truth behind the rating of Rajagiri.
Placements: I have taken the course B.Com with ACCA. The course provides me with a B.Com degree and helps me to aspire ACCA as a professional career. The top recruiters include IBM, Infosys, EY, etc. The course is for 4 years B.Com (Hons) and ACCA is for 3 years. ACCA contains 13 papers out of which we have to complete only 4.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is extremely terrible. There is no proper Wi-Fi. The food is too bad to be consumed. The hostel is filled with rodents and insects. There is no proper ventilation. But the course facilities are good. There are smart classrooms that have air conditioning. There are computer labs, library, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members are top-notch. Teachers are well educated having atleast a master's degree in their respective subjects. The teaching includes immersive study with whole person education and multi-disciplinary courses. It also includes role plays and seminars to make the students future-ready.

Review of Rajagiri College of Social Sciences
Placements: I am doing B.Com computer applications with a value-added Certification course (Wiley Certified Business Analyst). The placement opportunities for this course are pretty high between 70-80% of students got placed last year. Our batch also expects the same result as we pass out next year. Top recruiting companies are EY, ICICI, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: Campus has all beneficial facilities such as smart classes, a cafe, lab, auditorium, Wi-Fi, an indoor stadium and outdoor as well, basketball court, a vast car parking facility, recreation area, chapel, gym, bakery etc.
College hostels are top-notch as both boys and girls hostels are good. Food is provided 3 times a day non-veg almost every day and has laundry facilities, gym, games area, chapel, rooms with sufficient space etc.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, most of them hold a Ph.D. Coaching levels are top-notch and helpful in every aspect for a student. Semester exams are easy if you prepare well. The pass percentage is around 35%.

The college has a good infrastructure. It has a clean and green campus.
Placements: I am still undergoing my UG course. I have heard a lot about the placement opportunities on campus. Our seniors got a pretty decent job offer with a decent amount of salary. Students got placed into reputed and established companies like EY, Deloitte, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is top-rated. It has well-furnished classrooms. It has an eco-friendly and green campus. Wi-Fi is available on the campus and hostel. It has one of the largest libraries with a large amount of book collection and great computer labs. Hostels are kept very neat and clean. Good food is provided in both canteen and hostel mess.
Faculty: I feel the course is a bit outdated. It does not prepare you for the real corporate world. The curriculum should include prevalent subjects currently. End semester and internal examinations are conducted on time, and results are also published without any delays. Faculty members are good and friendly.
Other: Extra curriculum is very poor in the campus. No exposure is provided to the students. More focus is on passing the examinations .

Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery is one of the best.
Placements: I was a 2019 passed out student. During my tenure, my friends had an aggregate of between 60%-90% in the course when they got placed. But only a few students opted for placements because most of them want to opt for higher studies. The average salary offered in placements was about Rs. 6,000-8,000 per month in our college.
Infrastructure: Compared to other colleges, I think Rajagiri is the best in terms of course and hostel. I stayed in Social hostel near Rajagiri, and it has all the amenities. We can select rooms according to our preference. The mess was clean, and the food served was also fine.
Faculty: The thing which I like the most about Rajagiri is the teachers. Teachers are very friendly, and they are experienced. They are willing to help in any aspect, whether it is about conducting a programme or doing an assignment.
Other: I have chosen this course to start a business. I suggest our college to add new subjects to our course.

Facilities are good. Value for money is not that great, and placements are weak.
Placements: Percentage of students who got placed in our course was significantly very low. About 2 or 3 of them got placed. The highest salary offered was about Rs. 30,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was about Rs. 15,000 per month. Top companies which came to our college for recruitment were Oyo Rooms and Sutherland. Around 10 to 15% of the students applied for an internship on their own during the semester break and got an internship. Top roles offered were mainly in the sales department, and others were in call centre jobs.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our college were excellent. We had large computer labs and a two-floor library. We were provided with high-speed internet within the campus. I was a day scholar. All the classrooms had projector screens, and the computer labs could accommodate more than 300 students. The library had a huge collection of journals and books.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They would clear our doubts by providing examples. The course makes students understand all aspects of business and accounting. Teachers were highly qualified and experienced with more than 20 years of teaching experience.
Other: The placement cell needs a slight improvement as the companies that came for recruitment was very low. The course is a bit on the expensive side. The value for money is not that great.

Infrastructure and teachers were better, but the rules in our college were a bit more than expected.
Placements: About 40% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. Companies like Wipro, Oyo and ESAF Bank recruit students from here. More than 80% of the students got an internship programme in their course period.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, our college has the best library and smart classrooms. Hostel rooms are well-furnished, and there are also a food court and other facilities. There is a gym with every equipment for men and women separately, along with qualified trainers.
Faculty: Teachers were well-educated, and their experience in teaching was helpful to gain average knowledge. Many experienced business people regularly visit our college to share their experience and thoughts with students. The course curriculum was highly relevant.
Other: I have chosen this course because I always thought to start my own company. College life was very wonderful with fests and sports events.

Placements which the college provides are not even up to the college's standard.
Placements: Placements and recruitment are very poor. We didn't even have any good companies for placements during our course of study in this college. Placement cell in our college needs lots of improvements. Our college had disappointing placements in 2018 and 2019. Not even 1% of the students got placements.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are very commendable for both girls and boys. I didn't find out any kind of exposure for sports and games for girls. For boys, they have a good sports team for coaching. They should promote more activities, games and sports for girls. They didn't have any games team for girls till 2019. It would be good if it is provided in the coming years.
Faculty: I appreciate the college for providing add-on course programme. It helps students to learn something other than their curriculum, and it would be beneficial for students. I recommend bringing back that add-on course programme. Teachers were well-qualified and knowledgeable. Course-related internships should be given in the final years for students to make them industry-ready.
Other: Events and fests are very good.

It is a very good college, and I suggest everyone should take admission here.
Placements: Our college provides ACCA course and CAT MAT coaching. Almost 5% of the students got placements. There are very fewer placements in our college, and most of the students don't attend placements as small companies come for placements. There is a lot of companies for our course, like EY, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides Wi-Fi and 2 big computer labs. There are food facilities, sports and a lot of fun activities. They have a very big library, and a lot of books are available. Mess, canteen and hostel are available for students. The hostel is very good, and the students have an option to select a room.
Faculty: Teachers are good and friendly. Teachers are very helpful and always help when students face difficulties. The course makes students industry-ready, and even we can review teachers and complaint about them if they teach very poor.
Other: A lot of fests are conducted on our campus, and they have fests in almost every month.
