Very good college to improve your knowledge and skills.
Placements: Placements are good. The placement training is excellent. The highest package at Rajalakshmi Engineering College is 25 LPA. The lowest package at Rajalakshmi Engineering College is 4 LPA. Many top companies like TCS, Zoho, and many others. Many of the students got internships.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are neat and clean. Labs are also neat and clean. At Rajalakshmi Engineering College, the library is good. The hostel facilities are good.
Faculty: It's very amazing and awesome. The syllabus is very easy and good. They are very helpful and kind. They help us a lot in improving our knowledge and skills. They provide extracurricular syllabus also so it is very helpful and knowledge. At Rajalakshmi Engineering College, the faculty members are good and very friendly to the students.
Other: It's a very attractive and awesome college.

Not only focus on academics, but also on other domains like sports, skills, etc.
Placements: It provides many internship opportunities, and especially, the EEE department has a better scope. Symposiums conducted by our department increase our knowledge. Many companies like TVS also provide courses and internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Labs here have every facility, including the machines, components, electronic devices, and gadgets that are required to do the experiments. Devices are then and now checked for their efficiency and working, and changed and repaired accordingly.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-experienced and good at their teaching skills. Exams are conducted according to the timetable provided in the daily calendar. Teachers here are well qualified, helpful for the practical life knowledge. Extra classes are also kept, and syllabus is completed accordingly.
Other: I had chosen EEE because it has scope in the present as well as in the future. Especially the EEE department is the basis for everything. It also has government job opportunities.

Not satisfied with the faculty members' knowledge, but having a good placement when self-learned.
Placements: 80% get placed. The highest: 24 LPA, the lowest: 2.5 LPA. TCS, Accenture, Infosys, etc. Some might be very new startups. 30% of students make an internship, but most of the people don't do any internships. Companies for internships might be BNY, Goldman Sachs, etc. Software developer, finance officer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are old, but some of the people really don't have proper course knowledge. Even the knowledgeable ones just hesitate to teach. Labs for my course are good, having proper PC setup and repair stuff. Wi-Fi and faculty members are available. Classrooms are spacious.
Faculty: Teaching quality is average. Students have to do self-learning if they want to learn actual industry skills. The college just teaches the course, not the usage of that course in real life. As I said before, it’s just to make students exam-ready. Exams are easy.
Other: I just needed a computer major degree in my course. I get both computer and financial knowledge, that's why I chose that. Industry knowledge, practical knowledge, and faculty members are good. Events were quite good.

Good placements, supportive faculty and a well equipped campus experience.
Placements: Around 90 to 95 percent students got placed each year, with packages ranging from 3 LPA, the lowest, to 28+ LPA, the highest and an average of 4 to 5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Zoho, Amazon, Accenture, offering roles like Software Engineer, Developer and Analyst, with good internship opportunities in firms like Zoho and Embed UR.
Infrastructure: In the Information Technology department at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, students have access to Wi-Fi enabled smart classrooms, well equipped computer labs with the latest software, seminar halls and a central library with e resources. The hostels were decent with furnished rooms, 24/7 water and power backup and study space. The mess and canteen provide hygienic food with both South and North Indian options. Medical facilities include a campus clinic with doctors on call and the college also has sports grounds, indoor games and a gym, ensuring a good balance of academics and extracurricular activities.
Faculty: Teachers in IT at Rajalakshmi Engineering College were generally helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable, with many holding PhDs and industry experience. The teaching quality was considered good focusing on both theory and practical learning. The curriculum was relevant and updated with industry needs, including coding, data Science, AI and placement-oriented training, which helps students become industry ready. Semester exams were of moderate difficulty, manageable with regular study, and the pass percentage was usually high, around 85 to 95 percent, as the college provides good academic support and internal assessment.
Other: I am from the Information Technology department at Rajalakshmi Engineering College. I chose this course because of my interest in coding and emerging technologies. The best part of IT was the updated curriculum, good placement opportunities, and supportive faculty. I wish there were more core product based company tie ups and advanced lab facilities. The campus had technical and cultural fests, active clubs, scholarships and extracurricular activities. The crowd was vibrant, with good connectivity to the city and a green, spacious campus. Hostel life, sports, and events add to the overall experience, making the course well rounded.

College review by the student in the college.
Placements: 70% of students got placed. I can't clearly say that 12 LPA is the highest package of our college. TCS is the company that visits our college, along with Accenture, Wipro, and some other top companies. There are companies that we go through online. Clubs are available in the college that would benefit the students.
Infrastructure: All good about the facilities and infrastructure available for our course and department. Food is moderate and the staff are above average. There was a health center in our college. They give a big opportunity in games and sports.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching depends on the staff. They are not all the same. This course curriculum is relevant. I don't know about that, but our syllabus is more relevant to it. It is very difficult to score marks and get an O grade, and many get arrears.
Other: I got this course in counseling. They should focus on one language. They are all good.

Review of Rajalakshmi Engineering College.
Placements: I think placements are good up to 90% conditioned without arrears. Highest package at college is about 32 LPA, something. Average package is 4.5 LPA. However, top-tier companies (Amazon, Google, Zoho, Mr. Cooper)take fewer students yearly, and lots of good companies also take mass hiring. Many 4-6 LPA jobs. But now that the number of students intake increased, it may collapse the reputation of this institution. In my course, B. Tech IT, I heard that placements are good.
Infrastructure: Hostel food is below average. Room facilities are up to the level of your pay. College provides both AC and non-AC rooms. But the worst part is there is no AC in classes (that is a fake advertisement), some only in Labs. AC buses are there, but some non-AC buses are still there. College hostel is off the campus, which is very hard to accept.
Faculty: Many faculty members are well-experienced. Though some inexperienced staff are also surviving. On the basis of academics, it is very strict in the examination, not like other autonomous colleges. Difficulty of passing exam is high due to strict examination cell. Pass percentage is reduced too much.
Other: Events and culture are really good in this college. There are no rules in college (except for something that is unacceptable). Student care is the worst part of this college. College is mostly money-minded and arrogant in front of students. Management is the worst. But we can survive.

  • Go with LPU for a large-scale academic and placement ecosystem.

  • Choose SRM Ramapuram for urban tech exposure and balanced academics.

  • Opt for REC Chennai if you prefer a college tied to Anna University with more moderate costs and solid engineering traditions.
