A step to grow my career in life is based on the quality of education, faculty, and environment.
Placements: The college placement is better compared to the previous year because more companies are coming to our college. The average packages start from 3 to 4 LPA, with roles offered primarily in design. The top recruiting companies are CTS, Cognizant, and Accenture.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is very good. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The library is big and good. The canteen food is good and tasty. There is a medical facility on campus as well. The college gives more importance to games and sports. Overall, hostels are also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and friendly. The exam fee is 600 per paper. The curriculum is easy, and our college uses the Flix Learn method for teaching. The teaching quality is good and impressive. The semesters are easy to clear.
Other: The CSE department is the best in this college. The best thing is that we can choose the faculty for each subject. Events are held twice per week. The crowd is a little bit in our college. The connectivity is very good. Scholarships are also provided by the college.

The college infrastructure is very good and placements are good.
Placements: 75% of students are placed from our course. 36 LPA is the highest package, 2.5 LPA is the lowest package, and 5 LPA is the average package in our course. Amazon and TCS are the top recruiting companies. 65% of students got internships in Wipro partner companies. Web development and software development are the offered roles.
Infrastructure: The facilities at the college are very good. The college management provided 24/7 Wi-Fi, AC in classrooms and hostel rooms, separate labs for each course, the infrastructure of the classrooms is very good, and the infrastructure and books of the library are good. There are lot of canteens for food.
Faculty: All teachers are well-qualified, and every faculty member has a doctorate. They are providing courses based on the student's department. The semester exams are very tough, and 80% of students pass. The college providing courses prepares students for placements.
Other: Artificial intelligence is the top-listed course in the current generation, and we can improve artificial intelligence by learning these courses. A lot of events and fests are conducted in college.

I am dissatisfied because the college rules are the worst.
Placements: AI and ML, along with subjects like data structures, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing, are offered. Up to 2,500 students have taken courses in AI and ML, which are based on credits, and students need to complete the required subjects. The packages range from 3 LPA to 10 LPA, but only they show higher figures like 24 LPA. However, these higher packages are offered by Saveetha Engineering College, not Saveetha University.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi sometimes connects, but they do not provide the password, so we have to find it ourselves. There are also games and events where we can participate and earn certificates and events where we can play games and win cash or certificates.
Faculty: The average examination is not good. Even if we write the correct answers, we fail most of the time. If we are writing a supplementary exam, we only have a 10% pass percentage. Exams and curriculum are very poor. One day, there will be one rule, and Tomorrow, there will be another. They do not even treat students as humans. They make us feel like robots. It's the worst experience.
Other: Placements are still very low, but they have only just started to come in.

I am very happy because I joined a good college.
Placements: Most of the students got placed in our college, the top recruiting companies are like Cognizant, TCS, etc. The package is starting from 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The internships are also referred to by the college. The top roles are like front-end designers and software trainee.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure is good because the college is following the flipped learn methods, which is more useful for us. The classrooms are good, the campus has full Wi-Fi facilities available, the canteen is good, there are too many canteens in our college, and the college gives importance to sports.
Faculty: The faculty are very knowledgeable and they are very friendly. The curriculum is easy, whichever subject you want from your department, you will be able to learn. The exams are conducted three months. The exam fees are Rs. 600 rupees per paper. It's easy to clear the exam.
Other: Everywhere there is a culture. The events are conducted on a monthly basis, and the college is also providing scholarships. The campus is a little bit crowded. The campus surroundings are very green and environmentally friendly.

The infrastructure is really very good. The food and food courts are nice.
Placements: The highest package in last year’s (2025) placements was 34 LPA. Saveetha School of Engineering’s average placement package is currently 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies include JP Morgan, Hexaware, TCS, Cognizant Technology Services, IBM, Amazon, and Avasoft.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good compared to other colleges in Chennai. But the college is located in outer Chennai, which is a bit disappointing. AC classrooms are available, but not all classrooms have AC. The library is a landmark of this college. Many canteens are available inside the campus.
Faculty: Only passionate faculty members teach and always help you. Other faculty members teach just to earn. This college follows a system where we choose our own faculty and courses. We can choose the courses and faculty we want, which is an advantage.

This college has atmosphere like schools.
Placements: I'm a 2nd-year student, and almost all students are placed from courses such as CS, IT, and AIDS. Bio-related courses such as bioinformatics and biotechnology placement opportunities are fewer. The placement packages are also low in all courses.
Infrastructure: There are blocks in the university. Few blocks are well maintained, but most of them are not up to standard. Wi-Fi access is only available for CS and IT students. The library consists of a good study area, which is peaceful. There are various canteens inside the campus, so the quality varies for each canteen.
Faculty: A few faculty members are very knowledgeable and helpful, but not all. Not all facilities are easy to access. Many events and programs are organized to develop student's skills. The course curriculum is not that helpful. The exam system is different, but it's easy. Pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I chose SIMATS to pursue this course because bioinformatics in the engineering sector adds value to the certificate. More lab facilities would be helpful at the college. There are no complaints regarding events, fests, or other activities.
