DU SOL Placement & Salary Insights

As per the Shiksha students' reviews, DU SOL does not conduct any hiring process. In recent years, 70% to 80% of students have managed to receive good job opportunities. Further, the highest package offered in the past few years was INR 30 LPA. Some of the leading companies that offered job roles were Wipro, Amazon, TCS, and many others. In addition to this, around 60% of students received internships in recent years. Some of the top roles offered were Tax Consultant, Bank Manager, Account Manager, etc.

The Delhi University School of Open Learning placement data for recent drives has not been disclosed. However, some of the students have mentioned their placement experiences on the Shiksha students' review page. As per the reviews, the highest package offered to BCom and MCom students in recent years was INR 25 LPA and INR 30 LPA, respectively. For the BA batch, the highest and average package stood at INR 5 LPA and INR 3 LPA, respectively. Further, the average package for BCom and MCom stood at INR 8 LPA and INR 2.60 LPA, respectively.

No, DU SOL admissions 2026 are not open yet. The admission portal for UG courses is likely to open in the first week of June. Students can till then regularly visit the website for the latest admission updates.

SOL DU degree is valuable as it is recognised by the UGC and is a pioneer institution in the field of distance education in India. No, the CUET score is not mandatory for admission to the School of Open Learning, the University of Delhi undergraduate and postgraduate courses. DU SOL admission to UG courses is based on candidates' performance in their Class 12 examination. For postgraduate courses, 50% of the total intake will be filled by direct admission of the students of the University of Delhi. Rest 50% of the seats will be filled through entrance examination and interview/ group discussion if any.

Yes, the School of Open Learning offers a MCom course at the postgraduate level. The post-graduate programme offered by SOL has a minimum duration of two years and a maximum duration of 4 years for completing the course. The SOL MCom admission process for the academic year 2022 is now closed. DU SOL admission 2023 is expected to open in the month of December for the PG courses. 

SOL DU offers UG & PG courses in various streams of Arts, Commerce, and Management. The university offers direct admission to candidates based on their merit of last qualifying exams of previous education. Admission to the MBA course in SOL is based on merit in the degree course. During the selection, 80% weightage is for graduation marks and 20% weightage of marks for professional work experience. Additionally, 20% for four years of experience, 15% for three years, 10% for two years and so on. Some other categories for admission are:

• For MBBS/BDS/MD/MDS degree holders or persons having experience in hospital administration with 2 years.
• For Group A officers of govt. and public undertaking organisations having graduation in any discipline.
• For those having experience of 2 or more years in corporate houses/hospitality and transportation sector/industry/service sector/ self-employed professionals.

SOL MBA eligibility criteria is that the candidate must have 50% aggregate in graduation from any recognised university. Candidates must provide valid proofs of eligibility fulfilment such as qualifying certificate or marksheet. In addition to this, candidates must also have valid CUET PG scores.

DU SOL admission to the MCom course is both merit and entrance based. Candidates who are already a part of Delhi University are eligible to get admission directly on the basis of their performance in the last qualifying examination. For students outside DU, admission will be done on the basis of valid scores in the entrance test and personal interview, conducted by the institute. 

Yes, MBA is in the new launched courses list of SOL DU. The PG course is of two-year duration and a maximum of four-year. Admission to the course is based on the candidates aggregate in the bachelor’s degree or the last qualifying examination. It is a distance MBA course. The open school has its study centre at North campus and in Moti Bagh. Candidates can reach out to the admission office for more details regarding the course.

Candidates seeking admission to the SOL DU MA course, must have graduated with a minimum of 60% to 65% aggregate or equivalent with the relevant subject from the University of Delhi or any other recognised institute/university. This is the minimum requirement for the selection process as well. Moreover, aspirants need to ensure that they have the degree mark sheets and pass certificates at the time of admission.

The School of Open Learning, University of Delhi offers a MA course covering several specialisations. The minimum duration to complete this course is two years. The maximum duration to complete the SOL MA course is four years. The application process for the PG course is expected to begin in the month of June/July.

DU SOL admission to M.A. in History is based on DUET scores followed by the release of list of merit lists. As per the cutoff 2022, DU SOL concluded the release of merit list after Round 4 Seat allotment.
