It has strong academics and good infrastructure. Placements vary by department.

Placements: 78% of students get placed in the electronics and communication course. The minimum starting package offered is 3.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered in our course is 12 LPA. Accenture, Intel, and IBM are the top recruiting companies for our course. 40% of students got internships from our course in companies like Intel and Dell. Design engineer is the top role offered in our course.

Infrastructure: It is spread over 70 acres of an oasis in North Karnataka. SDMCET, Dharwad, has impressive architecture, lush verdant woods, and a landscaped garden. It provides an idyllic environment to engage in technology, academics, and learning. SDMCET has a world-class infrastructure that facilitates excellence in teaching, research, and other professional activities.

Faculty: SDM College of Engineering and Technology (SDMCET) in Dharwad generally receives positive feedback regarding its teachers, with many reviewers describing them as helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable. Facilities and study environment are good.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. All my seniors are placed in good companies with good packages. Overall, almost all students are placed. It depends on our hard work, though. Companies come to all the branches and conduct interviews, so it's a good college.

Infrastructure: All the facilities are available, like Wi-Fi, fans, lights, and clean washrooms. The food in the mess is really good. There's a hostel day when they give us mango milkshake, and it's too yummy. Overall, the food in the mess is great compared to other colleges.

Faculty: You can gain good knowledge here, and the teachers are good and helpful with every doubt. The teaching is also good. We also have makeup exams and makeup internal assessments, which is a good part because it helps us improve our academic marks. Overall, it's good.

Other: My course is Electronics and Communication, and it's a good branch.

The college is great, which makes students learn practically.

Placements: 99.65% of students are placed in the past year. The highest package offered is 32 LPA in the last year from our college. The lowest package is 3 LPA and the average package is 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Wipro, Bosch, Dell, Amazon, and Mercedes-Benz. Approximately 50% of students secured internships in Bosch, Marco Polo, Infosys, Google and many more companies. The top roles offered are software engineer, backend engineer, and design engineer.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided to students are great. We are provided with great lab facilities with good computers. The library has many books to read from. Hostels are great and there are 3 hostels for boys. All hostels are maintained cleanly. The food in the mess is also great with full vegetarian meals. Sports facilities are very good and sports sir is friendly too.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and interactive. They teach very well and are thorough about the teaching. The teaching quality is great. The course curriculum is relevant, and the teaching provided makes us industry-ready. They teach us practically not just by making us memorize. However, they also prepare us for real-time problems. Semester exams in our college are pretty tough as the college is VTU-affiliated and follows the VTU syllabus. The pass percentage is above 40%. The department faculty members teach well and clear doubts if we have any. They are very interactive in the class.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in coding. The best thing about my course is the flexibility I get. I would improve the limited languages being taught to us. Many events and fests are organised compared to other colleges. The campus is usually crowded with students but it is very spacious. The campus surroundings are good as many useful shops like stationery and bakery are there. Scholarship opportunities are available too.

Good infrastructure and green campus, but not satisfied with teachers, administration, and syllabus.

Placements: Around 30% of students are getting placed but it's still the start of our final year so we are expecting more to go. The highest package for now is 11.5 LPA, the lowest is 3.6 LPA, and the average is around 8 LPA. London Stock Exchange is the top recruiter. 70% of the students got their internships through referrals and the selection process. SDE , backend engineer, GET, etc. are the top roles offered.

Infrastructure: The college has WiFi, good ambience, an indoor stadium, temple , library, study room, labs, etc. Canteen serves pretty good food. The college competes in intercollegiate and VTU matches, has an indoor gym, WiFi throughout the campus inside building , and every medical need is attended to by SDM Medical College. It has a big ground for sports.

Faculty: Teachers are experienced and qualified but we expect more knowledge of recent technology and they need to update themselves. No, the course is not relevant. VTU makes the worst syllabus ever and you never can understand its intention. Pass percentage is 40% and semester ends are pretty difficult but manageable.

Other: I love computer and coding so I chose this branch. I hate the education system as whole so it's not about college but the syllabus needs to be updated, and so do teachers. Scholarships are applicable. We have the best fests and highest frequency of fests in the city.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good. WiFi, spacious classrooms, and a decent library. Hostels are comfortable with basic amenities; food in the mess is average but varied. The canteen offers better options. Medical facilities are adequate, and sports facilities are decent, with good options for both indoor and outdoor games.

Faculty: The teachers at SDM College are knowledgeable and approachable, making the learning experience worthwhile. The teaching quality is strong, with a relevant curriculum that prepares students for the industry. Exams are moderately difficult but manageable with good preparation. The pass percentage is around 50%.

One of the best colleges.

Placements: There are many good companies of both software and hardware visiting our SDM college to hire students in large numbers. We have 60-70% placements rate in our college, which has separate guidance.

Infrastructure: Course infrastructure is good with all the facilities and requirements available. The hostel has sufficient space and we have separate study tables for students. The food provided in the hostel is healthy and keeps us strong.

Faculty: The faculty is good enough to provide all the information about the subjects. Curriculum and exams go with separate calendars made in the starting of the semester, and events are happening. You will get a good chance to participate in all the events which helps to get confidence in our passion.
