Our college campus looks like a set of a Bollywood film; it's that great.
Placements: From 3rd semester we were eligible to give the campus according to our previous semester marks. The companies at that time were Reliance Telecom, Angel, Vodafone, Airtel Call Centre, Maruti Suzuki Sales Team, Reliance Fresh, Woodland, and Eicher Tractors Marketing Team. 65% of students were selected from the campus interviews. I joined Mahindra dealership for gaining experience in the automobile sector.
Infrastructure: Our annual fest Ke Mecca is indeed the most sought-after fest in DU. Be it LSR or SRCC, all the students of top DU colleges come and dance to the tunes that are played during our fests. The basketball court and badminton court are the places where finding a place to play is next to impossible. Over 30+ societies and students actively are involved with these societies to garner other skills in which societies of our college help immensely.
Faculty: The faculty has always helped the weak students to seek the best knowledge and understand their potential capability. The teachers have always encouraged the students to give their best results as they wanted every student to be attended to for their lesson plans.

B.A. (Hons.) in Economics - Batch of 2024

Fully satisfied, excellent placements, satisfactory facilities
Placements: Approximately 60% of Eco Hons. students got placed, while the remaining 40% includes students who wanted to pursue higher education or prepare for government exams. The highest, lowest, and average package offered for our course were 23 LPA, 5-6 LPA, and 9.5 LPA, respectively. Top recruiting companies included Deloitte, Bain & Company, DE Shaw, ZS Associates, and Barclays. Approximately 40% of students secured internships, mainly at Wells Fargo, DE Shaw, and Gartner. Top roles offered for our course were Consultant and Financial Analyst.
Infrastructure: The benches are not furnished, and the AC doesn't work well at all times. Being male, my hostel was under construction during my graduation, but I heard the girls' hostel was pretty good; it was private, and the value for money was reasonable.
Faculty: The teachers were quite good at teaching, handling students, and being very helpful. Their teaching style made the class interactive and interesting. The curriculum is not fully relevant, but it prepares students to take their first step into the industry. Being a tough course, the exams were above average, and the passing percentage was over 80%.

Happy with both placements and infrastructure.
Placements: The placement facility for my course is good but not sufficient, as we had average placement opportunities with a low percentage of students. We have to go to the company ourselves, approaching for jobs in internships. Most students do not get placements in their core subjects.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of a college is very good; we could have an auditorium-free, Wi-Fi-free, big ground, sports room facilities, library facilities, medical room facilities, etc. The cafeteria is also there and the food is very good. Hostel facilities are present and there is a market nearby.
Faculty: Teachers are very intelligent and knowledgeable; they enlighten us with their knowledge and help us with online and offline material exams. Regularly held tests are weakly conducted by the teachers. We have the facilities to conduct experiments related to course .
Other: Various fests and events held on the college campus make it so easy to make good connections with students and societies are active in extracurricular activities.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany - Batch of 2022

Excellent facilities and research opportunities but limited corporate placements.
Placements: The placements in the Botany are not corporate driven. The students opt for internship in research institutes like CSIR, IARI and ICAR etc. Some students prefer research projects available in the college itself. The package for internship varies with each research institute.
Infrastructure: Hindu college offers a set of facilities and infrastructure. The whole campus of Hindu college have Wifi connection with good connectivity. Sometimes the connection is poor. The labs are equipped with instruments like microscope, spectrophotometer and other reagents, etc. The classrooms are spacious and have smart boards, projectors and black boards. Each classroom has AC facilities. The library is well stocked with books, journals etc. Hindu college have separate hostels for boys and girls . The hostel were very well equipped with all necessary facilities. The food available in the mess and canteen was very tasty and of nice quality. It is also affordable. The college has medical rooms also separately for boys as well as girls. The college has a big sports complex where all sports and games are played.
Faculty: All the teachers in the botany department were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They prefer well-authorised books and research papers for teaching. The teaching quality was very good. The course curriculum is relevant. The 3-year duration course has 6 semesters which cover all subjects of plant biology. It makes the student industry-ready. The semester exams are not at all difficult. If one pays attention in class, then it's sufficient to pass the exams. The pass percentage is 100%.
Other: I chose the course because plants fascinate me . The best thing about the course is that it makes students understand better in all aspects of plant biology. More research projects for students can improve the course more. There are various societies present in the Hindu college like Sanjeevni (for plants), Aria-The western music society, Srijya - Choreography society ,Vagmi etc. They have their own events weekly. There is one main fest of Hindu college i.e. Mecca . This fest is very large and a huge crowd gathers on this day. There are various scholarships available for students like Premvati Raghubir Singh scholarship, R.B. Ram kisan das scholarship etc.

One of the best features of our college is its frequent seminars.
Placements: One of the main reasons I chose this university was its strong placement record. The engineering departments have a placement rate of over 90%, with the highest package exceeding 1 crore and the average package ranging from 10-15 lakhs. The highest packages are mostly offered in CSE, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering departments. Reputed multinational companies like Google and Amazon visit for placements. Students are eligible for placements in their final semester. Although the placement cell is excellent, I plan to pursue research in the future.
Infrastructure: The girls' hostel at our college is newly built and known as one of the most modern hostels on campus. It is well-equipped and offers high-quality services. Hostel selection is based on 12th board results, annual performance in college, and availability, which makes it competitive to secure a spot. For those not in the hostel, Delhi's North Campus offers a range of PGs and rental flats to suit different budgets, with varying facilities based on rent.
Faculty: I chose this course because its practical applications were feasible to imagine in reality. The faculty-to-student ratio was 1:5, which was manageable, but later batches faced larger class sizes. Every teacher was highly qualified, and while some were better than others, the teaching overall was good. Term exams occur every 6 months, and they are not difficult to pass if you study well.

A detailed review of my experience at Hindu College.
Placements: The placements cell, comprising the brightest students, secures the best internships and placements. The average placement package is 9 lakhs per annum, with offers going up to 30-40 lakhs per annum. Companies visit the college for campus placements, and recruitment starts in the 5th semester for 3rd-year students.
Infrastructure: The campus is very open, with classrooms divided by department, and multiple labs for each department. There is a research block restricted to specific people. The campus has two canteens, a giant amphitheater, and multiple lawns. The library, one of the oldest, is multi-story and has great air conditioning.
Faculty: The teacher-student ratio is very high, but the teachers are helpful and qualified. However, the teaching methods remain quite old-school. The curriculum is well-developed, offering great opportunities to make students industry-ready. There are semester-end exams, and the syllabus changes twice a year after every exam.

If you only want to pursue a degree in B.Com, then 50% will be fine but if you want to go for reputed colleges and universities and if you also want to participate in competitive examination then atleast 60% will be fine. But, it's your turn. So, try to get as much marks as you can. Good Luck
