NAAC+ rank and in top 70 colleges all over Delhi.
Placements: Approximately 40% of students in my course were placed. The highest package is ₹40,000 per month, the lowest is ₹20,000 per month, and the average is ₹30,000. Top recruiting companies include Flipkart, Zomato, and many more. Only 2% of students in my course got internships at Flipkart, and the top role offered is sales executive.
Infrastructure: Facilities include WiFi, labs, classrooms, a library, a ground, water purifiers, and more. There are no hostel facilities. The quality of food in the canteen is fantastic, and the medical facilities, sports, and games are also good. Our college has two buildings, which makes it more spacious.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified in their fields and subjects. The course is relevant for those pursuing a career in data science or data analytics. The exams can be a little difficult, and the passing percentage is 33.
Other: I didn’t choose this course; I got it through CUET. The best thing about this course is mathematics and its real-life applications. This answers the common question from school days—where will we use the factors or roots of quadratic equations? I wish there was more improvement in lab classes for subjects like numerical analysis. Our college organizes fests, events, and more. The campus has a large hockey ground, a medium-sized garden, a volleyball court, and a gym.

Totally satisfied because of the best faculty, good infrastructure, and average placement in 2024.
Placements: Talking about placement, yes, we have a placement cell. It's typically like other off-campus colleges, but if you develop skills during your graduation, you can really crack it. The median package is approximately 4.85 LPA, and the highest is about 7.5 LPA. In Economics Honours, you are offered jobs like data analyst, financial risk analyst, investment analyst, financial consultant, etc.
Infrastructure: This college doesn't have any hostel, but most private hostels are available just behind the college within walking distance. It has a very clean and well-managed lab, and the classes are quite clean and decent. In my opinion, the canteen is overpriced, and you will get an average taste there. Talking about sports, this college is mainly famous for hockey, but it also has other indoor and outdoor games like volleyball, football, chess, etc. Now, the library is the best, fully air-conditioned, with every book you can imagine and a peaceful environment.
Faculty: The faculty at this college is the best, especially for Economics Honours. They are very knowledgeable and experienced, cooperative, and help you in every possible manner. We have an Economics departmental society that teaches us leadership and organizes many departmental events. Semester exams are moderate and become easier after being taught by such knowledgeable teachers. If anyone focuses on lectures and solves previous year questions, they can easily get a decent CGPA.
Other: I had an interest in economics and maths, which is why I chose this course, and everyone knows that Economics Honours offered by Delhi University is the best. Many students fill this college in their upper preferences because they think it is a North Campus college, but it is actually an off-campus college. Talking about events and fests, they are similar to other off-campus colleges (I would say average). The nearest metro station is Welcome (approximately 700 meters), and there isn't that much crowd in the area, just Shyamlal College students going up and down on the footpath, but everything else is the best.

Shyam Lal College, Shahdara.
Placements: The placement facility at this college is very poor. The highest package for a B.Com student is ₹30,000 per month, and the percentage of students who got internships is only 10%. This college increases the fees year by year; I paid ₹20,500 in the first year, ₹22,500 in the second year, and ₹24,500 in the third year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for courses is good because many teachers who teach in SRCC-like colleges have migrated to our college, Shyam Lal. I gave 3 stars for the course, but there is no hostel in this college for students, so I gave 0 for hostel facilities. The department of courses needs to improve.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and well-qualified, with good knowledge. Their communication skills with students are also very good. The semester exams at this college are very difficult because they check our mark sheets very carefully.
Other: I chose this course because I want to work in large companies. Events and fests are held every 2-3 months, and the campus surroundings are very pleasant, with plenty of trees and plants.

Shyam Lal College offers good academics with supportive faculty.
Placements: Shyam Lal College, a part of the University of Delhi, generally has modest placement opportunities. While the college provides assistance in placements, the number of companies that visit is relatively limited, and the average salary package is moderate. Popular companies in the finance, marketing, and IT sectors participate, but many students pursue higher studies or off-campus placements. The placement cell is active, organizing workshops and training sessions to enhance employability. The society, like placement cells, provides internships by collaboration with private limited companies. That is also a good thing.
Infrastructure: College has a 7-acre campus in which we have a ground for hockey nets for cricket practice, a Kabaddi ground, and 4 vatikas and 1 volleyball ground. These are the grounds for sports, and we have a nursery for botany students, and all of us have nice infrastructure staff and a supportive teacher too. I feel good about my college; it's really nice.
Faculty: The teaching staff at Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi, is generally well-regarded for their qualifications and subject knowledge. Many professors hold advanced degrees and are experienced in their respective fields. They are approachable and often supportive in helping students with both academic and personal guidance. However, like many colleges, the quality of teaching can vary across departments. Some students feel that certain teachers are more engaging and dedicated, while others believe there is room for improvement in terms of teaching methods and student interaction. Overall, the faculty is considered competent and supportive.
Other: Our college organizes lots of fests like cultural nights, western days, ethnic days, etc.

Shyam Lal College is excellent.
Placements: In Shyam Lal College, about 50% of students have a placement, and the highest package is 12 LPA. The lowest placement ranges from 2 to 4 LPA, and the faculty is very good and amazing.
Infrastructure: The faculty at Shyam Lal College is very cooperative and helpful. The Wi-Fi is also fast, and the classrooms are well maintained. The library is large and has all types of books available.
Faculty: The teachers at Shyam Lal College are very good and helpful. They are always available to assist students and provide knowledge, and their teaching style is excellent. The semester exams at Shyam Lal College are tough, but the teachers make the difficult subjects feel easy.
