The college is good if you want to pursue a sociology Hons from this college.
Placements: JDMC is academically strong for sociology Hons, and it offers around 20 to 30 percent placement for students. Most of the students who have completed their Bachelor do study for higher studies like UPSC teaching and other social work. The highest package offered is 4 to 5 LPA, while the lowest package is around 2 to 2.5 LPA. NGOs and the social sector are mainly the top recruiting companies. 50 to 60 percent of students get internship during the course. Top roles like research assistant, Ngo programme coordinator and content writing.
Infrastructure: In my college, the Wi-Fi facility is good and if we look at labs, there are various labs in my college. Library is best because it contains lots of books. Krishna hostel is located in JDMC College. We talk about the mess, which is in good condition. The medical facilities sports and games are average.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and well educated. If we look at sociology teachers, they are highly educated. Basically, a sociology course prepares students for social work and ngo related work. The results of the semester exams are mainly good. It prepares students for higher exams like UPSC.

    JDMC is green and blue!
Placements: B.A. Hons Political Science is a very interesting subject. You can either prepare for other competitive exams; this subject will help you a lot, or you can do well through this subject as well in the future. I'm just a fresher here, so I don't know much about internships, but I would prefer girls preparing for some exams, be it teaching or other government exams.
Infrastructure: Small, cozy, and girl-friendly classroom is good with good ventilation. The internet connection is good. The best part is its library, which is large and very well maintained. JDMC is very serious about its sports. All 6 days in the morning, they conduct practices (for NCC and sports both).
Faculty: Everything is perfect. Semester exams are quite decent; you will not get any puzzling questions, rather direct ones. Teachers are helpful; they even provide you with notes. The course is relevant for those who want to do their further studies in Political Science or prepare for government exams.
Other: JDMC has a Diwali Mela called Jyotsana, then all other fests in February after completing the semester. Campus crowd is good.

    Overall, the college is good.
Placements: My college is women's college which provides a good and safe environment for girls. The major priority of the college is to safeguard the students. Without any permission, you can't enter in college because of safety protocol. Students also get the opportunity to get internships. Students join NGO for social work and many other welfare work.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of the college are good with multi-storey building and many classes. Labs, library, and labs for computer science students are available with a strong Wi-Fi connection. Food quality is good in canteen. Medical facilities are also available for students. College organised many different sports too.
Faculty: Teachers of this college are very helpful and kind in nature. They provide sources to students in their studies and help during exams by providing the best sources and books for the preparation of the exams. You can easily score in this paper just by studying a month before exams, and the paper is overall based on current affairs so you have a good knowledge about the current events in the world.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue a career in political science. The best thing about this course is that it provides knowledge about how government should work and what the responsibilities of government are. The campus crowd is nice. College organised many different activities, and also provide scholarships to students. College fest is one of the best parts of this college.

It is a good college to get admission to.
Placements: Janki Devi Memorial College offers good placement opportunities through its active placement cell. It organises workshops and internships. It invites top companies like Deloitte, Wipro and TCS to help students get successful professional careers.
Infrastructure: The campus is spread over 95 acres and has state of the art facilities including smart classrooms, labs, library and sports grounds. The hostel facilities are excellent, and it offers single occupancy rooms for girls. The mess food is good, and the hostel staff is friendly.
Faculty: JDMC has experienced and supportive faculty members who guide students well. The course curriculum is updated and aligned with Delhi University standards. Exams are conducted semester-wise, with internal assessment, projects, and theory papers to evaluate students.

    u201cStrong Academics, Room for Improvement Elsewhereu201d .
Placements: Placements at the college are decent but not exceptional. A few reputed companies do visit the campus mostly for roles in sales, marketing and customer support. Core job opportunities are limited especially for non-teach courses. The average package is moderate, and only a handful of students land high-paying offers. You? Ll likely need to rely on off-campus placements or internships if you're aiming for top-tier companies. The placement cell is active and tries to bring opportunities, but there? S still a lot of room for improvement in terms of company variety, job profiles, and industry exposure.
Infrastructure: I? M currently pursuing Sociology, and the course has been a great experience so far with a well-structured syllabus and supportive, knowledgeable faculty who make the subject engaging and thought-provoking The hostel facilities are okayish? Basic amenities are available, but cleanliness, food quality, and overall comfort could definitely be improved.
Faculty: I? M pursuing Sociology, and I? D rate the faculty and curriculum a full 5/5? The professors are supportive, and the syllabus is well-structured and thought-provoking. The infrastructure is great, with clean classrooms and a well-equipped library that creates a good learning environment. Placements are average (3/5)? Some companies visit for sales and marketing roles, but core and high-paying jobs are limited, so off-campus efforts are often needed. The hostel is okayish, with basic facilities but needs improvement in food and maintenance. Overall, the academic experience is excellent, with some room for improvement in placements and hostel life.
Other: When it comes to fests and campus life, it? S actually a lot of fun. The college hosts some vibrant events, cultural programs and fests that bring a refreshing energy to student life. It is great chance to enjoy, participate and take a break from academics.

Great faculty and a safe campus with good infrastructure.
Placements: 60% is the placement rate. The highest packages up to 15 LPA, the average is 3 LPA-5 LPA depending on the course/stream. Reports indicate that B.A. program students (non-honors streams) aren't covered by the placement cell and often need to secure internships or jobs independently. Placement rate in 2024 ranges between 50% and 70% for eligible students. The highest package reported is around 11 LPA. The average package is around 5 LPA. The median UG is 4.5 LPA, and PG is 5 LPA. Over 50 companies visited the campus for recruitment drives in that year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Janki Devi Memorial College is well-maintained and student-friendly. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors and proper seating arrangements. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, and the library has a vast collection of books and a peaceful reading area. Labs are well-equipped for practical work. The canteen provides affordable and hygienic food, and there's a separate mess facility for hostel students. The hostel has good security and clean rooms with basic amenities. Medical facilities are available on campus and regular health check-ups are conducted. Sports facilities include a playground and indoor game areas, encouraging physical fitness.
Faculty: The faculty of my college is experienced, helpful, and supportive. Most of the teachers are well-qualified and use practical and interactive methods of teaching. They are approachable and always ready to clear doubts. The curriculum is up to date and designed to develop conceptual clarity and critical thinking, though industry exposure could be improved in some courses. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty and well-balanced between theory and application. With consistent study, most students can pass with good marks. The pass percentage is usually high for those who attend classes regularly and submit assignments on time.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in the subject, and the college has a good academic reputation. The best part about JDMC is its inclusive environment and active student societies, which help in personality development. The campus is safe and well-connected by metro and buses. The annual fest Symphony is vibrant and full of energy, with great student participation. However, I feel more industry exposure, career counseling, and practical-based learning should be added. Scholarships are available for meritorious and economically weaker students, and extracurricular activities are actively encouraged through various clubs and societies.
