Good placements, and the facilities here are really good. The college environment is great.
Placements: I'm from the 2022 batch, I'll be passing out in 2026. In my batch 50 percent of students got placed. The highest package is 13 LPA in our whole batch. Bosch, British Telecom, TCS, etc., companies visit our campus for campus placements. Lowest package is around 3.45 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in class. Labs are good. Sometimes we also face problems connecting to Wi-Fi, but the cleanliness in the lab and classrooms is good. Medical facilities are really good. I don't stay in a hostel. Some of my friends told me, hostel food is great.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They clear our doubts without losing patience and they even encourage us to ask doubts. Course curriculum is relevant because of that I am able to pass my technical interviews by just glancing at my notes. Semester exams in college are neither easy nor difficult.
Other: My stream is best for both government jobs and corporate jobs. My course teachers are highly skilled in the subjects and they have in-depth knowledge of those subjects and they also keep tabs on the recent revolution in our industry. They advise us to strengthen our knowledge in some of the subjects, which will be highly useful in our future. I just want our faculty to install CCTV cameras in the labs.

B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2026

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and decent placements with an active campus at SIT.
Placements: In my batch around 75-85 percent of students from our course got placed through campus recruitment. The highest package offered is 18 LPA-20 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA-4 LPA, and the average package is nearly 5 LPA-6 LPA. Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Accenture, TATA Elxi. Around 50-60 percent of students got internships in companies. Roles offered are GET, Software engineer, and Electrical Design Engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at SIT is good with well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, Wi-Fi connectivity, seminar halls, and a central library with a large collection of academic books and digital sources. The hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms. The mess and canteen provide hygienic food that is vegetarian. Medical facilities, sports grounds, and gym games are also available.
Faculty: The faculty at SIT are experienced, supportive, and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. The course curriculum is relevant and includes both theoretical and practical subjects that help students gain industry - oriented knowledge. Most teachers explain concepts clearly with practical examples, conduct lab sessions effectively, and guide students in project internships.
Other: I completed my course at SIT and the college provides good value for money because of its quality education, experienced faculty, placements, and campus facilities.

I am happy with the learning experience in this college and found it interesting and engaging.
Placements: Above 50% of students are placed, while some opt for higher studies. The salary packages range from 3 LPA to 31 LPA. Companies like Alstom, TE Connectivity, Netradine, Infosys, and TMEIC recruit students. All students get internships in various companies as trainees. Internship opportunities are also available at ISRO, KPTCL, BESCOM, TMEIC, TE Connectivity, Netradine, Arcadis, Fayat, and many more.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and labs are nice with good connectivity. Classrooms are spacious with proper lighting. Medical facilities are also good. The staff members are friendly and supportive.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They teach very well with interesting topics along with academics and guide students whenever needed. Their teaching builds curiosity and interest in development. Semester exams are normal.
Other: This course offers a more practical-oriented approach. I am especially interested in power systems and electronics rather than coding. It focuses more on electrical-related technologies and current industry trends.

Partially satisfied with faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: I am from the 2022 batch, passing out in 2026. Around 70 members are in our class. Around 50% of students get placements and internships through the college. Others find opportunities externally. Overall, it is a good college with good placements if used correctly.
Infrastructure: It has very good labs and a great library with Wi-Fi. The hostel rooms have fans. The hostel food is okay. However, rooms are a bit congested. The hostel staff members are very humble and friendly. We have a great homely environment. Overall, it is a great experience.
Faculty: Faculty is very helpful to students. Students with the right potential get placed in the right companies, providing great future opportunities. The placement faculty members are also very knowledgeable and help students find solutions. Overall, placements are good.
Other: College offers good future opportunities.

SIT Tumkur is worth it for placements, but don't expect anything else from this college.
Placements: About 70-80% students from my branch got placed. The highest package offered is 36 LPA, the median is 11 LPA, and I'm not sure about the lowest. Top recruiters are Oracle, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, etc. I'm not sure of the percentage of students who got internships, but it is in the companies I previously mentioned. Not sure about the roles.
Infrastructure: Average facilities, which are justified due to low hostel fees of about Rs. 86,000 annually. Wi-Fi is poor, labs are mixed, some are good, some are bad, classrooms are acceptable, and the library is not worth visiting. Food is utter trash in a mess. The canteen is slightly better.
Faculty: Probably the worst faculty possible out there. You wouldn't find people more reasonable than them in your whole life. The curriculum for 1st is utterly garbage and holds no relevance to the industry. I'm not sure about the higher years, though. Semester examinations are extremely easy, you just need to mug up the notes and PYQs, and you can easily score above 9 CGPA or even above 9.5 CGPA.
Other: I enrolled in this course simply because it was the best I was getting at my rank. Placement is the only good thing about this branch, though. Faculty members in this branch are the worst. They are extremely strict for unnecessary reasons.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025
4.6
4.0Placements5.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life5.0Value for Money
The best college in Karnataka and Tumkur. Top infrastructure and academics.
Placements: The percentage of students getting placed was 48.25% in the academic year 2024-25. As we all know, mechanical engineers have lower placements compared to the IT branch. The highest was 10.8 LPA, the lowest was 4 LPA, and the average package was 6 LPA. The top recruiter was Polaris, JSW, TVS Motors, Bosch. When it comes to internships, 65-70 percent of students get internships, and 5-10% get paid internships. The top roles offered were design engineer, graduate engineer trainee, and quality engineer. On a final note, if you maintain a CGPA above 9, our college is the best, and you can get placed the highest with some extra 2-3 skills.
Infrastructure: Mechanical engineering at Siddaganga Institute of Technology has a Wi-Fi enabled campus, well-equipped labs (CAD/CAM, thermal, manufacturing), smart classrooms, and a central library (50 thousand books). Hostels are decent, and rooms are average, and the mess food is okay (not great, but hygienic), and canteens offer variety. Medical facilities include an on-campus health care center. There is good support for sports with a playground, gym, and indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, highly qualified, and have deep knowledge. The quality of teaching is always 5 out of 5, and there are no compromises in teaching. The course curriculum is relevant to industry needs, and our curriculum makes students industry-ready. Whatever you learn in the classroom can be learned practically in college labs, and there will be many industrial visits. Semester exams in this college are very tough and strict. The exam paper won't be set by our college faculty; it will be from other colleges, and it is very tough to score in these exams. The pass percentage will always be above 80%.
Other: The reason I chose this college is that it is in the top 10 colleges in Karnataka, and the mechanical engineering branch is the safest in this era. Mechanical engineering is an evergreen branch. The best thing about this course is the practical labs. It will be the best experience of your life, and these labs will make you industry-ready. One thing I would like to improve in our course is to make the curriculum even tougher so that students can gain more knowledge and survive in this era. Holycon is the major event, and every branch has its own events. Scholarships will be provided.
