Admissions at SOIL Institute of Management are completely entrance-based. To secure a seat in either of the one or two-year Management programmes at the institute, candidates must apply for the programme and complete all the selection rounds. Check below the steps to get a seat in the institute:
1: Application Process
Candidates can apply for courses at SOIL Institute of Management online. Aspirants have to pay an applicaton fee of INR 2,000 for PGPM and PGDM courses.
2: Shortlisting
The institute shortlists candidates for PGPM courses based on a profile-based selection process. This evaluates the academic performance, extra-curricular activities, work experience and leadership potential of the candidates. Aspirants are selected based on their scores in CAT, XAT, NMAT, GMAT, etc. Candidates can also appear for SAT (SOIL Aptitude Test) for selection.
For PGDM, selection is based on past academic performance, addmission test scores (CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT) and relevant work experience of the candidates.
3. Group Exercise and Leadership Assessment
Design Thinking Workshop
This step is common to both PGDM and PGPM courses. Aspirants have to participate in Design Thinking Workship, half day event. Students are required to solve real-life problems using Design Thinking Principles.
SOIL Leadership Assessment
Applicants have to also take SOIL Leadership Assessment for PGPM courses. It is a 60 minutes pyschometric assessment.
4. Personal Interview
The SOIL faculty and senior industry professionals take a personal interview of selected aspirants to evaluates their interest in the course, leadership abilities and career goals.
5: Final Selection
Candidates are shortlisted based on their academic performance, test scores, work experience,e xtra-curricular achievements, performance in Design Thinking Workship and personal interview.
7. Admission Intimation
The institute informs the selected candidates about admission process and payment of admission fees via email.
