It is a good journey with average CAT score and average fees.
Placements: Almost 100% of the students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are EY, KPMG, GAIL, ONGC, BPCL, SBI Capital Markets, RIL, ESSAR, GSPC, GSPL, Petronet LNG Limited. Roles of a consultant, marketing manager. The highest salary package offered in our course is 17 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered in our course is 8 LPA. There are almost 100% internships in companies IoCL, Adani, Shell, WAPCOS, Wipro, Gujarat Gas, Sabarmati Gas, MGL, IGL, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has excellent infrastructure with Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms. Hostel facility is excellent. The quality of the food available in the canteen is excellent. The campus was enjoyable, and also the location of the campus was good. Hostel blocks were built in a way to accommodate more space.
Faculty: Teaching quality was excellent. The course curriculum was relevant. It makes the students industry-read. Subjects were inline of industry demand like carbon finance, infrastructure finance, oil & gas accounting and taxation, management of power sector, and energy economics.
Other: I have chosen this course because the course was offering the sectoral management knowledge in which I was working, which was very much relevant to my work experiences. The best things about the course were it was designed in such a way that it provides 360-degree knowledge of the sector. Induction of corporate taxation/personal financial management would be better/improve our course. Campus fest, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarships, extracurricular, activities, etc., were good here.

A nice college with good faculty members and placements.
Placements: The placements are good in the senior batch. Almost 90-95% of the students have got placements. 18.4 LPA is the highest package of this year, while average pay is around 7-8 LPA. Various companies such as GAIL, Accenture, Reliance, Adani, Torrent were some of the companies that visited the campus. Almost 100% of the students got their internship from the college. College has a placement cell.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. It has good classrooms and library. There is also a Business Analytics Lab which has been set up. The mess food is good. The canteen food has a lot of varieties available. The hostel rooms are nice with all the facilities such as LAN, Wi-Fi, AC, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are learned and with an extensive field as well as teaching experience. Various presentations, group tasks, case studies are given to make us understand the concepts better. Various industrial visits are arranged to let us know the actual industrial conditions. Also, a number of guest lectures are arranged in which we can interact with the industry professionals and gain insights.

Q:   Is doing MBA from SoM PDEU worth it?
A: 

MBA is the flagship programme of School of Management, PDEU. Students pursuing MBA are open to campus placements. In the recent placement drive, a the highest package of INR 14.71 LPA was offered to students. The average package stood at INR 8.91 LPA. Some of the top recruiters like Accenture, ICICI Bank, KPMG, Infosys, etc. participated in the placement drive.

Q:   What are the registration dates for CAT?
A: 

CAT application process for the current year has already been concluded. The exam has also been conducted. The results and answer key are expected to be released at the iimcat.ac.in website. The CAT 2026 registration dates are not announced yet.

A great college for the special E&I domain.
Placements: The placement committee is good. There is a placement cell with some student representatives in it. Various PSUs also come to the campus for placements. The highest salary package offered for last year students was 17 lacs per annum. Packages offered for energy and infrastructure students are higher than general management students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is great. Every necessary facility such as Wi-Fi, library, medical and general store, an on-campus doctor is available. Classrooms are good with all the equipment, and the mess food is good with a variety of food items. The hostel is nice.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable in their fields. They all are readily helpful to any student. Case studies and presentations were used to teach many topics. Industrial visits were conducted to know the actual things happening in the industry.
Other: There are various technical and non-technical events conducted at the time of SPM annual fest, Pratibimb. Also, being a part of PDPU, we have a whole year full of varied activities.

An ideal institution for students, looking to specialize in the energy and infrastructure sector.
Placements: Placements offered for the students of our senior batch were good. Many companies conducted campus placements for the students of our senior batch. The package offered to the students in this year has been increased, compared to the previous year. Public sector utilities, IT consultancies, and banks were the major recruiters. Internships provided to the students of both the batches were 100%, and good profiles are offered to the students in reputed firms.
Infrastructure: In terms of facilities provided, our college is one of the finest colleges in Gujarat. The classrooms are well-equipped and are comfortable, which help in providing a good learning environment. The entire campus is connected with high-speed Wi-Fi. The hostel rooms are spacious, and they provide all the necessary facilities.
Faculty: The course curriculum is well-designed as per the industry requirements to help the students perform well in their job. All the professors possess a doctorate. They are highly knowledgeable and supportive. They are helpful in providing a better future for the students. The course curriculum is indeed useful, as mentioned by the alumni.
Other: Every year, a fest is organised in our college. Alumni reunions are also organised across various cities.

Good Infrastructure. Average Placements.
Placements: For the batch of 2018 General Management,90% of the students got placed in the companies like Future group, Knight frank, Infosys, and more with the highest package of 8.5 Lacs P. A and Average package is around 6.1 Lacs which quite acceptable considering the current scenario and the course is new as compare to the flagship course of Energy & Infrastructure which is doing very good over the years. Coming to the summer internships, everyone got placed as per their requirements, companies like Decathlon, Arvind, ICICI Securities and more visited the campus and the highest stipend offered was 15000 per month.
Infrastructure: The best thing about this college is Infrastructure, Located in the capital city of Gujarat I. e Gandhinagar popularly known as Green city. Hostel facilities are upto the mark, Library has good collection of books, classrooms are very well managed with all the facilities available, Wi-Fi Facility is also available. Good sports ground covering Football ground, cricket ground with a proper cement pitch, basketball court etc. Are well managed.
Faculty: The faculty is highly experienced and they have very vast working experience in education sector with well reputed colleges, The methodology used is vary from faculty to faculty, some use PPTs, some use Case studies, But the visiting faculty which have great industry knowledge create more impact in our learning as they give us more practical knowledge.

Pdpu: not worth 10 Lacs rupees.
Placements: Our batch is doing internship right now and senior batch is 80% placed. The higesh package was around 8 Lacs, the lowest was 4 Lacs and average was 5.5 Lacs. Tcs, Future group, Gail, Kpmg, Ongc, JLL and many such others come to our campus for placement. Business development role are generally given to students that it approach the potential clients and try to convert the deal. 100% got internship. The highest was 15000 and the lowest was 0. Yes other is placement cell the students in placecomm are good but the faculty members are not so good. Faculty members stop students to tap more companies and want to get students place with the current companies only that visit campus.
Infrastructure: The campus has Wi-Fi accessibility but Network is not so good and fast. Classrooms are good with seating capacity of 80 students but chairs are broken. Projector facilities are available. Badminton, football, cricket, volleyball grounds and equipments are available. Quality of mess food is not so good. Hostel rooms are spacious with proper facilities. No infrastructure problems were faced except the chairs and Wi-Fi.
Faculty: The teachers ar qualified but their teaching methods are not. They are not able to pass on knowledge properly. Teaching methods used are case studies and books. Student to faculty ratio is 20:1. Yes I am currently getting industry exposure as I am working as an intern. The course curriculum is not proper some subjects like organisation behaviour are repeated in every semester which is more than enough.
Other: Events happen regularly every indian festival is celebrated and campus crowd is decent too. Campus surroundings are not good as there is nothing except tress around the campus as our college is far away from main road. Extracurricular activities are not in MBA programme but good for B.Com and BBA programmes.

The students who want to do MBA in marketing can join the college, but others, please don't join.
Placements: In our batch, all students got an internship and are doing that right now. In our senior batch, almost 95% of the students got placed. The highest package offered was 8 LPA, the lowest was 4.6 LPA, and the average was around 6-6.5 LPA. Companies like ICICI, Future Group, Knight Frank, JLL, Reliance, Asian paints, Gail, Cococola, Ambuja Cement, Waghbakri and few others came to our college. The roles offered were usually marketing roles at the basic levels like, generating demand for their products or meeting few clients and develop good client relationship. 100% of them got internships. The highest stipend offered is Rs. 15,000, and the lowest is unpaid. There is a placement committee, and it is very useful because they tap a lot of companies and does the placement of the entire batch on their own.
Infrastructure: The whole PDPU campus has Wi-Fi facility, classrooms are sufficiently big that an entire batch can sit in a class. Good benches, chairs, a projector and screen are available in the classrooms. A library with more than 14,000 books is available. Medical facilities are not proper as there is one doctor in the campus of 4000 students. Sports grounds for football, cricket, and volleyball are properly developed. Canteen food is good, but the mess food is not much good during dinner time. Hostel rooms are big. No issues regarding infrastructure were faced by me. The only issue was, the classrooms, hostel and mess are far from each other, so we have to walk a lot.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, but their teaching methods are not good enough. They used projectors and teach through PPTs and even case studies, but the problem is even practical subjects like accountancy and stats are taught verbally, and they do not solve sums in the classrooms. Industry exposure is provided during the internship. The course curriculum was useful, but some faculty members were not able to provide proper knowledge.
Other: Events happen regularly, that is, once a month or twice a month. The campus crowd is good, and campus surrounding is not much good because if you want to buy something, then you have to walk 3 km to reach the main road as the college is far away from the main road. No scholarships are provided for MBA programmes. There are other extracurricular activities.

Scholarships 2026

Merit-cum-Means Scholarships (50% Tuition Fee waiver)
Maximum 10 Merit-cum-Means Scholarships (50% Tuition Fee waiver) are available as per the PDEU scholarship policy for School of Management, MBA students.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:-
1. The policy stipulates that the family income (from all sources) of the candidate in the previous financial year should not exceed INR 10 Lakhs.
2. The candidate should have scored a minimum 85 percentile in CAT/XAT/NMAT/GMAT applicable for admissions for the session 2026-27

To maintain scholarship in subsequent term/year, students need to have minimum 3.2 CGPA. Other details shall be shared with candidates during the admission process.

Merit Scholarships (50% Tuition Fees Waiver)
There is a total of 04 Merit scholarships available for MBA students.
To be eligible for the scholarship, the students are required to have a CAT/XAT/NMAT/GMAT percentile score of 85 OR Above.
Merit scholarship will be available for both years of study, subject to students maintaining the scholarship in subsequent terms/years. Students need to have a minimum 3.2 CGPA.

Defence Scholarships (50% Tuition Fees Waiver)
A maximum of 02 Defence Scholarships (50% Tuition Fee waiver) are available as per the PDEU scholarship policy for the School of Management MBA Students.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:-
1. The policy stipulates that the family income (from all sources) of the candidate in the previous financial year should not exceed INR 10 Lakhs. Other details (required documents) shall be shared with candidates during the admission process.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for PhD at SoM PDEU?
A: 

Candidates who have passed a master's degree or a professional degree equivalent to it with at least 55% aggregate or its equivalent can apply for the PhD course at School of Management, PDEU. There is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate for SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer) / differently-abled candidates & other categories of candidates as per the decisions of the Commission from time to time.

For PhD in Management, MBA/ MTech/ ME/ ACA/ AIC/ WA/ ACS level or its equivalent as recognised by UGC / AICTE in appropriate area is required.
