Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) Trivandrum offers a full-time, residential Master of Public Health (MPH) course. The course is two years (24 months) long. It is designed to build an understanding, knowledge, and attitude for better public health practice and research.
SCTIMST Trivandrum MPH admission is granted to applicants who fulfil the preset eligibility and selection criteria. The selection criteria include written test, personal interview, work experience, etc. The SCTIMST MPH eligibility criteria is as follows:
- Graduates with one of the following degrees from a recognised institution: MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BNYS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS, BTech/B.E (any branch) and graduates of four-year degree programmes in Veterinary/Nursing
sciences, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, or Bachelor of Pharmacy; OR - Postgraduates with a recognised degree in Statistics/Biostatistics, Demography, Population Studies, Nutrition, Sociology, Economics, Psychology, Anthropology, Social Work, Management or Law
- Work experience in health-related fields is desirable
- The age of candidates must be 40 years (Age relaxation can be given in exceptional cases)

The question paper pattern comprises details about the mode, medium of the exam, total number of questions asked, type of questions, allotted time, and marking scheme.
