Highlights

National Exit Test (NExT) is a combined single-window exam for MBBS students to qualify for admission into postgraduate courses as well as to obtain the license to practice medicine in India. The exam is to be held in two steps to check theoretical and practical knowledge of candidates. Once implemented, NExT will replace multiple exams including NEET PG and FMGE.

Sree Mookambika College of Medical Sciences review.

Placements: Academics were good. Hence, clearing entrance exams and placements was good in government colleges for postgraduation become easy. The average package after passing MBBS was Rs 60,000 per month to Rs 70,000 per month.

Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs were amazing. They had a huge library with lots and lots of books to refer and learn from. Voracious readers could read and learn a lot from their library. Hostel food was good with different dishes each day. Wi-Fi facilities and AC classrooms were available.

Faculty: Teachers were really helpful. They will definitely guide you through your journey. The college had good quality staff in all departments. Semester exams were moderate to difficult, and the pass percentage was 85%. Teaching by retired professors and other experienced teachers makes the quality of academics good. It conducted regular exams which helped students prepare themselves for the final exams.

Other: I chose this course because I liked the profession. Co-curricular activities like cultural and other events were less at the college.

Sree Mookambika Medical College – An overall review

Placements: About 80% of the students were placed in this course. The highest package offered for this course is 8 LPA and the lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are private companies like Apollo and SRMC. 100 percent of the students get internships after the course. The top role offered is CMO after completing the course in private sector hospitals.

Infrastructure: College has excellent infrastructure. It has a huge library for all the voracious readers. Labs and classrooms are air-conditioned. The food in the hostel and canteen is excellent. The classrooms are huge and well-ventilated, with a capacity for 150 students.

Faculty: Faculty members in this college are extremely experienced and hence have good knowledge of the subject. They are well-qualified, and the quality of teaching is good. The semester exams are moderate to hard, and the pass percentage for the exam is 80%. The course curriculum is relevant.

Other: College has a good environment to study and improve knowledge. All extracurricular activities, events, and campus surroundings are well organized.

Candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained mentioned percentage taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. In respect of PwBD candidates as per NMC and DCI Regulations, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 40% instead of 50%. Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for the ‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test’. However, this has been a subject matter of challenge before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, and Hon’ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur. Result awaited candidates can also apply,he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Courses if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage at the time of first round of Counselling.
