B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2026

Average college life, limited core placements, decent for self-learn.
Placements: My college, St. Ann's College of engineering and technology, for Mechanical Engineering the placements are kind of average. Not everyone gets placed in core companies. D. People usually do internships in local workshops, small industries, or on an online platform. Getting internships in big core companies is quite difficult. The roles offered are mainly Graduate Engineer Trainee, Production Engineer, Quality Engineer, and Maintenance Engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities in our department are okay, not too great, but manageable. Classrooms are decent with basic seating and ventilation. Some rooms have projectors, but not all are regularly used. Labs are available for mechanical subjects like workshop, thermal, and production, but the equipment is a bit outdated. Still, you can learn the basics if you are interested. There is Wi-Fi in the campus, but the speed and connectivity are not always reliable.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly qualified and helpful, but teaching quality is average. Curriculum is somewhat relevant but not fully industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and the pass percentage is around 80% if you prepare well. This college is the best.
Other: I chose Mechanical Engineering because I was interested in how machines work and wanted to learn about design, manufacturing, and real-world engineering concepts. The best part of this course is that it gives both theoretical and practical knowledge. Subjects like thermodynamics, design, and manufacturing are quite interesting. Also, learning tools like CAD and understanding real mechanical systems is a good experience.

It is the best college, in my opinion.
Placements: Our B.Tech course is one of the best, offering opportunities for both software and hardware jobs with salaries up to 4-5 LPA. Many other courses, including M.Tech, MBA, and MCA, are also available at our college. It's the best college.
Infrastructure: You can get the best lab systems here because it is also famous for competitive exams and has a TCS iON center. Electronic labs are also very good. Physics and Chemistry labs are available in our college, and every department has its own lab.
Faculty: Teachers are really friendly, and their knowledge is very good for explaining to students. The way they explain is really good. If you are good with the faculty, you can get good marks in everything, as it is now an autonomous college.
Other: Every year, they conduct events like fests for every single branch in the college.

Semester exams are conducted strictly. In my course, almost 90% of students pass. Around 40% is a good percentage.
Other: This course is useful for the IT industry. I chose this course because I want to improve my coding knowledge. Every year, our college celebrates many events and fests. There is a fest named Vibhav. The campus surroundings are very good. The overall campus is filled with complete greenery. Activities are conducted. Scholarships are provided to students who score the highest percentage.

Review about St. Ann's College of Engineering & Technology.
Placements: Almost 70% of people got placed during placements. The highest LPA is 12, and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. The top roles offered are SDE, Web Development, etc. Almost everyone will get an internship from AICTE-approved institutes. The recent recruiters are Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is extremely good, and the college garden looks amazing. The facilities offered by this college are excellent, especially for female students. There is 24/7 availability of emergency centers, and they maintain the college environment very cleanly. They also do gardening every week.
Faculty: When it comes to teaching, the faculty needs to deliver the content in a better way. I am not saying this about all the faculty, but some faculty need to improve in delivering content in a more meaningful and understandable way. Some lecturers deliver the content in an amazing way.
