Our college has a good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Placements are good for B.Tech CSE branch, but for the civil branch, there are no placements or very less placements. In 2020, only 1 student got a job in campus selection from the civil department, while from CSE and IT branches, about 80% of the students got placements. The highest salary package offered to us was 27 LPA, and you can get the lowest salary package ranging from 3 LPA to 4 LPA, so it depends on you.
Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are the best here, and in 1 room, 2 students have to stay with an attached bathroom. There is a common mess for all the university students, and outsiders can eat in it by paying Rs. 50 for a meal. There are only vegetarian food items. The quality of the food served is average or better than most of the colleges. The registration for the hostel will be done in the administration building during the admission, and it depends on you whether you want to stay or not. PGs are available near the university with a rent of Rs. 3,000 to 4,000 per room. You can opt for self-made food or tiffin services.
Faculty: I have very much interest in computer and technology, so I opted for B.Tech in CSE. I found most of the teachers are average here. For a class of 60 students, there will be 50 teachers for the entire course whom you will meet in next semesters. Most of the faculty members here are qualified M.Sc or assistant professors. The teaching is average and not very good, but you can study on your own. Exams are held on time. About 75% attendance is must, so be regular to classes and give your attendance through the biometric machine. Exams are not very hard if you study averagely.

Review of my college life at St. Joseph's College, Irinjalakkuda.
Placements: Above 70% of my classmates, including me, got placed. The lowest salary is Rs. 10,000 per month, and the highest salary is Rs. 36,000 per month. Companies like Yes Bank, TCS, Accenture, Wipro, and Cognizant hire students from the college. 45% of students got internships as well. Roles like business analyst, associate, trainee, internee, and apprentice are offered. It offers very helpful sessions and training.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. It has interactive boards and tech labs. I feel some areas are old. Some infrastructure has been done in the auditorium. There is no cooling system in the auditorium. Even though a big fan is there that may not attract many people. I am not a hostel student.
Faculty: The course curriculum is above average and could have many things like emerging and updated topics. 3 hours of class and topics are not enough for BCA to learn the programming language. Semester-wise, it's easy, but the lab exams are difficult. Teachers are helpful.
Other: There are many opportunities to upskill and grab opportunities, so I chose it. I am a NSS volunteer and active IEDC member. It actively participated in every program in college, placement sessions, and workshops.
