Computer science students have good placements, but the kind of jobs which our college is proving is very sad.

    Good infrastructure and academic environment.
Placements: Top recruiters like Deloitte come to the college. Average placements would be 4LPA, with higher packages reaching up to 10LPA. 500+ placements are offered last year. Being a first year student, I am unsure about how many BMS students got placements.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is really good, and the course focuses on real world application. I do not stay in the hostel. I know people who do, and they say the hostel is good. Its close to the college and the food is decent. Someone who does not live in the hostels, I would not be able to give much information.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and qualified. They try to involve the whole class in the lessons and focus on real world application and examples while teaching. The course itself is heavily relied upon in the modern world as it focuses on case based learning instead of theoretical knowledge. The semester exams are moderate. The objective papers test your critical thinking skills, and the subjective papers test your ability to grasp the knowledge.

    Step towards your bright future.
Placements: The college provides you with the best teacher and helps you in every situation. The discipline of the college is also very good. It has a good ranking. Overall, it's best for your future. The college provides you good placement, development of skills, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is cool and maintained. The safety and cleanliness are maintained. The infrastructure provides an auditorium, playground and centralized AC in classrooms. The color of the building is vibrant and the classrooms are clean. All classes have smart board, projectors and speakers. There is comfortable canteen in between the greenery of the campus. It also has good sports facilities.
Faculty: The faculty is good and the techniques are very innovative. All the teachers are well qualified and well behaved. They provide you with real-life study problems that you can relate to the real world. They will help you in guiding your development and future. All the teachers are well trained with new technology.
Other: All the students are very good and well behaved. The college provides a vibrant atmosphere where you can play and enjoy with your friends. It has an auditorium where many programs are held. Intercourse and college league are also organized from time to time. The college helps you in growing in all the forms. All the programs are done in the very best way with full discipline and proper guidance. It also has different societies to take part and develop new skills.

    BMS student's review of SXC.
Placements: The placements offered by our college are really good. Most of the students who sit for campus recruitment are placed. The placement cells have been effective over the past few years. Some companies that hire from here are McKinsey, De Shaw, and Deloitte. The salaries vary from about 4 LPA to 11 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of St. Xavier's is really good. We have a playground, and the classrooms for BMS are air-conditioned. There is a lab for computer practicals, and there is Wi-Fi in the lab too. I have not lived in the hostel, so I don't know much about it, but my friends living in the hostels say that the hostel is decent.
Faculty: The teachers and professors are highly qualified and have experience working in corporations. The curriculum in the first year is just a revision of the stuff studied in the 12th grade. But there were some subjects, like taxation, that were new and really relevant. In the second year, the subjects are much more relevant and industry-oriented. The exams are pretty tough; getting above a 7.5 CGPA would be a good achievement.
Other: There is a lot of room to showcase your talent, as there are plenty of clubs and activities that take place through out the year. The only drawback is that this college is in Kolkata, which is not the best city to be in.

    SXC, NIHIL ULTRA (Nothing Beyond).
Placements: A whopping percentage of 90 achieved placement from college; many others did not sit for it. The highest placement last year was secured by a B.Com. guy of 21 Lacs. The average turned out to be 6-7 LPA. An internship is a necessary course in the curriculum. Many renowned companies like Tata, Deloitte, and EY came for placements and internships.
Infrastructure: All the classes are supported by smart class equipment. The building may seem a bit old, but the historic infrastructure is well maintained. Wi-Fi, labs, libraries, etc., are available. The green benches are a must-go place where you can hang out with friends during a break. Hostels are available near the college, along with PGS. Every year, sports day concludes, and even intercollege sports tournaments are held.
Faculty: The faculty of every course is highly qualified. Classes are conducted with the help of projectors, making it easy for the students to understand and interact. The BMS course in itself is controversial. But taking the course would give you an idea and direction if you were willing to enter the management field. Semester exams are quite easy, and one can achieve good marks after one week of study. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: The reason behind choosing this course was my clarity to take up an MBA afterward. This course provides a basis for the same. The Xavotsav event is the biggest intra college event in West Bengal, inviting prominent celebrities. Apart from this, many sports, cultural, and arts festivals are held throughout the year, giving every student the opportunity to push their limits and move ahead.

Best college life experience for me!
Placements: There were many students and 68% were placed easily. The highest salary was around INR 6 LPA given to our batch toppers, and the lowest was INR 3 LPA given to one of my friends. The top recruiting companies were Goodricke, Tata Consultancy Services, and mPocket. There were some other companies, like RBL, Fintech, and Cognizant. The top roles offered range from junior manager grade 1 to associate floor manager grade 3. Some of our friends also got entry-level jobs and packages. The average package is around INR 2.5 LPA for others in our course. On average, I remember 72% of us had jobs, and some were having internship opportunities with companies like RBL and Fintech. We were successfully placed!
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was great! We had a central library that is fully digitized; the library feels like a serene place to read. We had whole-campus free Wi-Fi, with security camera's and watchmen observing everything. Classrooms have smart projectors and advanced learning kits installed. The hostel facility is a bit expensive as it is a new status they are working with. Overall, canteen food is delicious! It is not that expensive; all you must try is a sandwich roll. There is a huge field for entertainment, sports, group discussions, and functions.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful and approachable. They have designed a course to make you industry-ready! You do not have to think about anything; just trust the process. Teachers are exceptionally well qualified! They already have over 20 years of experience, with the intent to teach and learn along. You can absolutely rely on them.
Other: I joined this course because it was fairly interesting to me. The course made me fully independent and helped me understand the workings of management and the financial sector properly. However, I do feel some chapters are not that useful for the current market and modern principles of accounting should be emphasized. I realised this after placement. There are events most of the time, but you should focus on studying as well. Scholarships and fee refunds are also provided to meritorious students. The campus is jostling with joy and we get ample connectivity via road and also via human emotions.

    The Xaverians and its legacy.
Placements: About 60–70% of the students got offers from companies, including MNCs; most of the students either went for higher studies (MBA) or professional courses such as CA, CMA, FRM, etc. The highest package was around INR 10 lacs per annum. The average package ranges from INR 5–6 lacs p.a. Many companies, including MNCs, come here for recruitment every year. 100% of the students get an internship, as it is made compulsory to take up at least one internship during the 3-year course. We have a placement cell in our college to provide for internship programs as soon as we enter our second year. The most popular course is, no doubt, BMS in our college. Apart from that, the B.Com. and B.Sc. eco faculty members are also good.
Infrastructure: There is a central library in our college. We also have access to Wi-Fi. The classrooms are smart classrooms with projectors in them. I have no idea about the hostels, as I am a resident of Kolkata only. But I came to know from my friends who used to stay in hostels that it was average, so I would recommend taking up a PG instead of going forward with hostels.
Faculty: The teachers here are very sweet; they do get angry at times, but they are very sarcastic and friendly. Even in our course, we have many young professors, which is the most important need as they connect properly with us. Our course mostly focuses on the industrial side of a firm. It focuses on the management of a firm company, and along with the internships provided, this course becomes much more interesting not only because of the theoretical knowledge but also because the subjects we are learning mostly deal with practical ones, which is much needed. Semester exams are okay. You can easily crack IR within 2 weeks of study, truly speaking.
