It is the best option to study designing if you are looking to study in Kolkata.
Placements: 90% of students are placed. The packages range from 3-20 LPA. There are multiple companies, like PWC, KPMG, etc., that are hiring. Internship is to be found by us, and some opportunities are sent by the college. Top roles offered in my course are Graphic Designer, Asset Designer, and Editor.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are top-notch, spacious, and clean. We have Wi-Fi, and all our systems are Apple. Canteen can be improved, but my department does provide very good facilities as for a designer's needs and necessities. All classrooms have ACs.
Faculty: All the teachers are very qualified, amiable, very helpful, and cordial towards all students in the department. They take individual care from person to person. This course really makes us ready for the industry as we are always doing practical work in this department. The pass percentage is almost 100%.
Other: I chose this course because I love design and art. The crowd is just okay, as it is one of the most elite colleges in Kolkata.

M.Sc. at Xavier's College, Kolkata (city of joy).
Placements: The college was very reputed and known for the quality of education and placement. You need to fill out all semester details for enrolling placement. Those who were government aspirants can skip this part. Most of the of the students selected for internships and apprenticeships at Bose Institute, Biocon, Sun Pharma, and Sk Agrotech were recruiting companies. We had 25 students in a in a batch, of which 20 got placed with a median salary of 30k rupees.
Infrastructure: In college, we had a separate floor for our department, we had incubation center and a research laboratory. college hosted many national and international events. Classrooms were large capable for large number of students. The college library was large, and staff there were very good with great attitude and friendly behaviour. To avail hostel, you need to pay different amount. The hostel feels different for male and female students. Each room have individual fan, light, plug ins, etc. Food quality was more less and good, hostel was from 15min walking distance from college 3rd floor had best rooms.
Faculty: The faculty members were highly efficient and skilled, and they were experienced too. The curriculum was designed with active corporate experts from within and outside of the organization. They regularly take tests and provide notes every year. The two semester scoring was tough. Sometimes surprise tests were also taken to gauge students preparation.
Other: Our batch was the last batch of M.Sc. microbiology from us, a combined course of B.Sc. and M.Sc. microbiology had replaced us.

It is one of the best colleges.
Placements: Our college offers very good placements in the fourth semester. Many MNCs visit our college. Almost 80% of students got placed in companies. The average salary package offered is 19 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is very good. It is huge. Its rooms are very good. We have a separate room in the hostel. The hostel provides very good food. The mess provides a variety of food items.
Faculty: The course is very good. All teachers are very good and highly qualified. Some of them are Ph.D. holders. Their teaching methods are new and very good. Every semester, we have exams. They are easy to score good marks.

Placements: Our college provides excellent placements. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, HCL, Dell, Infotech, etc., visit our campus. The salary package offered is 19 LPA.
Infrastructure: In our college, the hostel is well-maintained and has a good interior. Rooms are clean. A canteen is available. The quality of the food in the canteen is delicious.
Faculty: Our teachers are experienced and helpful. They are well-educated. Some teachers are experts in their respective fields. The teaching quality is good. Exams are conducted on time.

Extracurricular activities are ongoing in the campus.
Placements: They can enroll in the placement cell which helps with placements, Some departments get quite good placements from reputed companies. After getting the degree, I plan on sitting for the JAM M.Sc. entrance exams. Also Really good for other departments like B.Com and economics but you usually don't look for placement after graduation in the arts stream. You have to go for Masters. So if you're a commerce or a Science student and you're looking for a college with good placement after graduation, St Xavier's College is one of the best colleges in the country and in Kolkata the best.
Infrastructure: To avail of the hostel facility, different amounts have to be paid and much costlier too. The hostel fee for Male is 50000 and for girls is 55000. Rooms are shared by 2 or 3 students. Each room has individual fans, lights, and plug points, etc., and is big enough. Study tables, cupboards, and beds are provided. Food quality in the mess is more or less good. Registration for the hostel must be done at the time of admission itself. The hostel is at 15mins walking distance from the college at 219/1 AJC Bose Road, Kolkata. My hostel experience was the best part of college life. I was on the 3rd floor and had the best room in the hostel. The hostel meals were also good. However, the cost for the hostel is pretty steep and increases every year and by a good amount Since the hostel was located in a posh area, we had access to every amenity.
Faculty: I have chosen this college because of its good education and this college provides very good faculty members to the student. The faculty-student ratio is quite good. The faculty members here are highly efficient and skilled and are well experience too. The faculty is just excellent and the teaching method is also amazing. The curriculum is designed with the active cooperation of experts from within and outside the organisation. They regularly take tests and the teaching here is the best. They provide all the valuable information from different books. The competitive exams are also held which are taken by different organizations which provide merit too. Every year 2 semesters are held which are quite touch enough to hardly score the pass marks. The teachers teach very practically and with uniqueness which I like the most and is very interesting too. Every month they take exams and quick tests are also held. The teachers work very hard and with efficiency which makes this college the one.

Placements: Final semester students are eligible for campus placements. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Almost 70% of students got placements.
Infrastructure: All hostels are expensive. The hostel fee for boys is Rs. 50,000. The hostel fee for girls is Rs. 55,000. Around 2-3 students can share each room. Each room has fans, lights, plug points, a study table, a cupboard, a bed, etc. They are huge. The quality of the food in the mess is average. The hostel is 15 minutes away from the college. The hostel provides good food. The hostel fee increases every year. The hostel students have access to all amenities.
Faculty: All teachers are good and humble. They are very competitive. They guide us during our seminars and many programs related to our course. They are highly qualified and experienced. They teach us different subjects. They teach most of the classes by using projectors. They guide us on how to secure maximum scores to get good academics. This course duration is for 2 years. We have 4 semesters. We have two semesters every year. The fourth semester is all about project work. All students have to submit their projects. According to their project work, they will get marks. Students have to attend each class daily.
Other: I chose this course because I want to pursue a master's degree in computer science.

Yes, you can. I myself had this combination of subjects in my 11th and 12th. I have completed my Bachelors in microbiology from Calcutta University and am now pursuing my masters in the same from BHU. Just make sure that you score well in order to get yourself enrolled in a prestigious institution.
