Review of St. Xavier's College.

Placements: In our course, no one gets placed. Placements are not good. Internships are provided for just a few.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available for students. We have 2 labs. One is excellent, while the other is not good. A library is provided. Hostels are only for boys, especially for SC and ST boys. There are three canteens and a clinic is available. The campus is good. It is hygienic and fresh. You can find plants everywhere, which is very good.

Faculty: Teachers are good but they teach basic. Semester exams are done well. They try to pass everyone. Every semester they include one extra paper, which is good. In our college, intermediate classes happen. The campus is very good.

Other: I chose this course for interior design, but teachers didn't teach it well till now. I'd like to improve the quality of teaching. After the pandemic, events haven't happened at college. Sports competition happens. I have participated in a few, which is good.

Mixed opinion on the faculty.

Placements: I am a student of batch 2020-23. This course offers two main categories which are Animation and Interior. Placements are mostly skill-based, while some students get placed in the first or second year of the course others fail to acquire any job. Some people got placed in companies like Wacom, Byju's, Cred, etc. Some even get internships in local studios. Some work as freelancers and many have started their own Interior Design firms.

Infrastructure: This course has a well-developed structure. Speaking about the department, it has two computer labs and one classroom. Wi-Fi-equipped hostel for students from other cities. The college also has some great medical facilities. Overall the campus experience is very nice compared to other colleges in the city.

Faculty: I have a mixed opinion of the faculty members in the Department. Some of them are highly Qualified and Knowledgeable and offer us a great learning experience, while others are below average and ruin the learning experience. The course is good enough to make the student's industry ready. The curriculum is relevant too. Most exams in the course are practically based while few are theoretical ones. The passing percentage for exams is 45 percent.

Animation and interior Design in St Xavier's College, Ranchi.

Placements: The Animation and Interior Design courses at St. Xavier's College Ranchi do not provide placements. After completing the three-year course, students have to search for jobs and internship opportunities by themselves. The college should improve in providing placements.

Infrastructure: Here, they provide computer systems that are not very good. These systems barely handle tasks properly. They should at least provide the basic systems required for animation and interior design. Currently, these PCs cannot handle even 1080p rendering properly.

Faculty: Faculty members are good except for one. Overall, the curriculum is good, but they should teach in more detail, not just some portions. The exam system here is not very good. They don’t have systems that are good enough to handle artwork made in software like Maya, Max, etc.

Other: If you want to learn animation, you can go to this college but don’t depend on them.
