Faculty members and infrastructure are satisfied.
Placements: In our batch, 35 students were there. Most of us were now pursuing MCA and some were in M.Sc. Few got internships in TCS and Wipro. Top recruiting companies were TCS and Wipro. Now on campus, they were not available but off-campus, they were there. The project we did last year was very helpful in our interview panel. From this course, we offered various roles like software developer or web developer, game developer and many which one wanted in their chose according to their course knowledge which we gained during the course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure quality was good. Hostel was not available but the other facilities were well. Good hygiene quality of food available in the canteen. Medical facilities were available. Sports, games, and gym were also available. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, and all were well-maintained.
Faculty: All faculty members were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was good. This course was very helpful, as computer knowledge was required everywhere. As it was a practical based course, it made the students industry-ready. Semester exams were not much difficult.
Other: This course was practical based and made students industry-ready. The best thing about this course was that it helped shape the career path during the course. Apart from this events, fest, extracurricular activities, annual function, departmental function, connectivity with senior junior were all available. Scholarship-related help was available.

It's the best college for this course.
Placements: 50% of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 40,000 rupees, the average package is 35,000 rupees, and the lowest package is 30,000 rupees in my course. My course is recruited by top companies, such as TCS, Wipro, etc. 20 percent of students got an internship from my course, and at TCS. In my course, the top role is computer operator.
Infrastructure: My course/department facilities are so good, high-speed Wi-fi is always available, and labs are so clean with air conditioning and advanced computers, overall, all good. Classrooms are average because the classroom is clean, but no AC, only fans, and the library is so good, all my course-related books are always available. My hostel medical facilities were bad, but sports and games were all good, and canteen and mess were excellent.
Faculty: The teachers are so helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is so good. Overall, I am satisfied. This course curriculum is so relevant that it makes the students industry-ready. This college semester exam was so difficult and exceptional, but the pass percentage of 60 percent is so good.
Other: I chose this course because it's my passion. The best things about my course are the knowledge gained. I wish it were better/improved in my course classroom. Events, fest, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarship, extracurricular activities, etc, are held.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Statistics - Batch of 2025
2.4
3Placements2Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Dissatisfied with the teaching staff and faculty members, but other infrastructures are good.
Placements: There are not many statistics-related jobs after a B.Sc. Have to do M.Sc. for a secure job. After M.Sc., we can have a minimum of 9-12 LPA. Companies from Bangalore, Hyderabad, etc, visit our college to recruit students. Top roles offered are sports analytics, Operations Research, biostatistician, etc.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi we can use. A lab is present, but several computers are outdated and hence have performance issues. Classrooms are good. The library has some common books that most students use for statistics. There is no hostel in our college. If anyone is willing to take admission in this college whose residence is far away from the college, he or she needs to search for a PG. There is no mess or canteen. No sports or games are conducted at our college.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. All have done their M.Sc. in Statistics, but their teaching quality is not so good. Some try to teach but are average in explaining, while some can't make students understand the concepts. They just make us write. Our guest lecturer, Debjit Majumdar sir, is one who teaches very well, is very friendly with the students, and always helps us when we need it the most. He is the true gem of the statistics department. This course is currently one of the top market-demanding streams where a job is confirmed after an M.Sc. Exams are standard.
Other: There is very little competition in this course due to less awareness about the subject, but there is high demand for jobs in the market. Teaching staff, faculty members, and their way and quality of teaching. About events, festivals, scholarship activities, etc., Surendranath College is one of the best.

Decent college, average faculty.
Placements: There are no placements in my college for B.Com, so no one got placed. We didn't have campus recruitments, so there's no data for the highest, the lowest, or average package. No internships were provided through the college, and no recruiting companies or top roles were offered.
Infrastructure: Our department has a decent-sized classroom without a digital board. There is a free 5g Wi-Fi in library that helps students for study purposes and for some entertainment. Computer classrooms have approximately 15 working computers with 2 working AC, and yes, you can take admission.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful and knowledgeable, most explain topics in a simple way, so it's easy to follow. Course is mostly relevant and gives a fair idea about industry needs. Exams are moderate, not very tough if you study well, and pass percentage is decent.
Other: I chose B.Com because it's great for building business knowledge and opening career options. Best part is learning practical skills and getting guidance from friendly teachers. Campus hosts fun events and fests, the crowd is lively, and the surroundings are good. Connectivity is fine.

Good faculty, affordable fees, no campus placement, poor infrastructure.
Infrastructure: The average college interior is not too attractive, but looks overall good. Wi-Fi is also available, but has poor connection levels. Labs are clean and quite good, classrooms are good, but library books are in too poor condition, and there is a lack of books in the library. College does not have a campus.
Faculty: I got approximately 5.9+ SGPA. Faculty members are knowledgeable, helpful professors, and the curriculum is aligned with the University of Calcutta CBCS syllabus for B.Sc. Honours in Physiology. Internal assessments are conducted during the semester based on attendance, assignments, or written internal tests. Teachers are good, helpful, understanding, average-qualified, and well-educated. Semesters are hard, but if we study well, an average of 70% of students pass the exam in each semester; however, some students are not able to pass. Lab assistants are very helpful and kind.

The course and college both are good as well as the facilities and placements.
Placements: More than 50% of students got placed. The highest package offered in our course is around Rs. 50,000 and maybe the lowest package is around Rs. 30,000. We have Hindustan Times, All India Radio, Indian Express, and many more companies which recruit us. A minimum of 60% of our students got internships but our college doesn't offer it directly. There are plenty of programs. Workshops and training sessions. Some of those companies are TCS, Wipro, and many more. They offer different courses to get along. There are top roles like reporter, anchor, photographer, technician, PR, content writer, etc.
Infrastructure: We do have plenty of books to learn this course more efficiently in our libraries. They also provide an internet connection with individual devices to connect, explore, and learn. We have all the essential items in our labs. The quality of food in our hostel is quite good and hygienic. All the students have a common room as well as a canteen where we can relax, giggle and more. They also provide medical facilities. Our college organizes annual sports.
Faculty: Teachers of our department are very helpful and friendly, you can freely ask them any question without any hesitation and they also answer us in a way where every student will understand their saying. We do learn inside and outside the classrooms. They didn't cage our minds into the simple concept but helped us invade and understand the bigger context. This course is very relevant and this course is a practical course so they made us do practical sessions for better learning. The exams are quite hard and the pass percentage is around 50%.
Other: I love to be free in whatever I do and also do something for society, so for me, this is the course that allows to you freely choose and connect to people, unveil the truth, and make it up to the audience. We need more practical sessions in case the work ain't so little. There are plenty of subjects to cover which we might not do within just 3-4 years. The campus is always filled with joy, pride, and positivity. Our college organizes many events to make us feel continuously energetic and to learn in a fun way.
