The worst college experience ever.
Placements: Not yet passed out. I am in 2nd year (3rd semester) currently. The highest package in history of the department is 4 LPA, by TCS. Only two actively recruiting companies are TCS and HCL. Internship has not been provided so far. Roles offered in the course are sales analyst, call center employee, and assistant web developer (for the top-talented kids only).
Infrastructure: Our college has very poor facilities overall. There is no Wi-Fi facility. Labs are mostly useless with systems not working. Library has no updated or relevant books. Hostel is hygienic, but it has broken beds with bugs, no ventilation, and animals roaming in dining hall. Food in mess and canteen is stale, I ate once and got diarrhea. There is no medical help or even a first aid room. There are no sports or games. Honestly, nothing here supports learning or living properly.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly qualified but not helpful. They just read from the book or waste time sharing irrelevant personal stories. Teaching quality is zero. Curriculum is outdated and not at all industry-relevant. Exams are unnecessarily difficult, yet 90% students cheat and still end up failing because the invigilators don't care. Pass percentage is less than 20%, which shows how poor the system is. Nothing here supports actual learning or career growth.
Other: I chose this course because my parents wanted it, without knowing how bad the college facilities actually are. The only good thing is that most classes get cancelled, so we end up with many holidays. There are no proper events or fests, and if anything happens, students are heavily controlled with teachers literally carrying sticks to beat us. Campus crowd is mostly misogynistic, and many male students misbehave with female staff and students. No scholarships are given, and there is zero importance to extracurricular activities.

Proud to be SIETan and the finest faculty.
Placements: In my time, around 60% to 70% of students got placed in reputed IT firms. My friends also got placed at Deloitte and Infosys. College provides both on and off-campus. Companies like Infosys, Silicon, Tech Lab, and QSPIDE have come for a placement drive. There are lots of opportunities given by them. They also provide pre-placement training.
Infrastructure: I stayed in a hostel. They provide purified water. About food, they provide three-day vegetarian and four-day non-vegetarian food. For breakfast, they provide tiffin like bara aloo, and they also provide snacks. A big dining hall is present where all students can eat at the same time. Inside the hostel, a badminton court is present where we can play for extracurricular activities.
Faculty: The curriculum is up to the mark. Subjects like DBMS, Java, data structure, and algorithm really help us in higher studies and campus placement also. About the institute faculty, all are very experienced. Most of them are the best in their field. Mr. Ipsita Panda is the best programming teacher, and Mr. Abinash Dash has practical knowledge that is very good.
Other: The campus is full of enjoyment with lots of happiness. You can gain knowledge for your personal growth. The institute has a playground with basketball, football, and lawn tennis ground. Our institute fest name is Synfest. Our computer science department branch fest name is Anarghya. They also conduct inter-school competitions.

It is the best college with good faculty members.
Placements: The highest salary is 20 lakhs per annum. The lowest salary is 4 lakhs per annum. The average salary is 12 lakhs per annum. 85% of students received placement in companies such as Wipro, Infosys, and Microsoft. The top roles are project manager and software developer. 65% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good around the campus, which is spread over 28 acres of space. There is separate sports ground on 5 acres of land. The teachers learning facilities are 40 classrooms. The labs and library are good. Wifi is enabled. The hostel facility is available. The canteen is also available in the college. The food is very tasty.
Faculty: The course curriculum is superb. We have well-qualified lectures. They have good knowledge about their subjects; they have good experience. They provide a good approach towards their respective subjects so we can understand easily. The semester exams are difficult, and 60% is the pass percentage.

Review of Synergy Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: About 40% of students were placed in my course. Average package is 3-4 LPA. Some of our recruiters are IBM, Infosys, Dell, TCS, and others. Some of our students got internship at Cyber Dojo. Cyber Dojo is the cyber course offered from our college, and it gave placements also.
Infrastructure: Of course, there are many more Wi-Fi labs, smart classrooms, computer labs, and a library in our department. Our hostel has four floors with a big hall for entertainment. Wi-Fi facilities, a canteen, a cricket field, a volleyball field, and a badminton field are also available in our hostel.
Faculty: Our teachers are a great vision for us. Two teachers are former lecturers in an IIT also. Their teaching style is absolutely fine. Practical is important for the industry so every subject has theory as well as practical. Semester exams are a little bit tough.
Other: When I was in 9th class, I decided to take B.Tech CSE as I am passionate about computers. Another reason is that everything is shifting to technology. Our college is organizing SYNFEST (annual function) and Anarghya (branch function) every year. Other curriculum activities like sports, etc., are good.

My Synergy life and my experience.
Placements: Placement is not good at all, as most of the companies come through off campus. They provide pre-placement training and they provide some on campus but there average packages are 2 LPA. In 2022, around 30 to 40% of students will get placed in different companies.
Infrastructure: All the classrooms are clean and the library has all kinds of books. The lab rooms are getting old. There is one big seminar hall present inside the campus. The hostel has rooms for both boys and girls. In hostels, they provide three times as much food and they charge INR 40,000 per year for hostels.
Faculty: About the faculty, they have high qualifications. Most of the teachers are qualified for M.Tech. There are 10+ teaching faculty present in our CSE department. The course structure is good and it is very easy to get qualified in a semester. All the courses are very helpful for getting a job.
Other: Every year in the month of February. Our CSE branch fest name was "Anarghya.". There are so many clubs, like the NCC, RSS, Rotaract Club, and Photography Club. They also provide a state matriculation scholarship, whose name is "Prerana". There are so many facilities, like a canteen, and a small cafeteria is also there.

It gives a good college life.
Placements: Placement cell of our college was very good. All kinds of placements were provided such as core and service-based companies. The recruiting companies were Infosys, TCS, and Qspider. Core-related roles were offered such as testing, hardware, and software. The average salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. Most of the students got placed on campus in 2022. Pre-placement training was provided to students.
Infrastructure: Our college had the best infrastructure. It provided hostels for both boys and girls. Classrooms were clean but the lab rooms were old in the academic block. Air-conditioners don't work in some rooms. It has a central library with thousands of books. There were a volleyball ground, basketball ground, and tennis lawn. There was a huge garden in front of the academic block. Canteen and cafeteria were sufficient for 200 to 300 students.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were good, humble, and experienced in their respective fields. Most of them were well-qualified with M.Tech and had 10 to 12 years of experience. Our department consisted of few faculty members but their teaching experience was the best. They provided study materials and help students with project-related work. The course curriculum was very good. Exams were easy as teachers conducted doubt-clearing classes.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a software developer. Our college had a cultural club, NCC, and NSS to organise cultural fests. Gym club was available. Our college conducted an annual fest Synfest and other fests like department fest every year. They provide state post-matric scholarships and study loan facilities.
